General Discussion / Re: Official CRG Cap and T-shirt?
« on: November 14, 2012, 02:43:52 PM »
Steve – Based on the samples above, which ones would you consider simple? Please let us know so that future designs are kept within these same (simple) guidelines.

I will attempt to see if an approximate overseas shipping cost (this changes all the time) can be determined.  Will you guys over there give me a zip code to work with?

Steve

Try Sweden and zip code S-90421 ! :)

Lookin good!
....but I think the web address should be like "www.camaros.org" in small letters!

The words " Camaro archaeologist" maybee have to be approved by Kurt or someone else responsible for the site!?

I should be out working on my car, but this is interesting too. Another version. George
Now you're cookin with gas! :)
I really like your t:s here above but in a mix! Put the CRG-loggo in the front, together with web adress and the Camaro-script and text in the back! ....you're definitely in to something here! :)

What about losing the RS completely? It's just a bling thing. I mean SS and Z/28 were performance models. If you want you could add ZL1 as another hi performance.
I dont se why they should be there at all? It's always such focus on Z and SS! If it's an official CRG t-shirt or cap it should be neutral!!
....or why dont put X44, X33 etc in there as well!...you se how stupid it could look! ;)

I just don't get why so many Z's that have been restored have a black grill.

Congrats to a really neat car!
My X44 also had the black grill when I bougt it! When I was proud owner of my cream car I thought the that the 69 Camaro grill always were black. Then when I found this site and got educated in Camaro history I realized what was right or wrong. I think this thing with black grill are based on oridinay peoples opinion of whats "looks grea"t in combination with a lack of knowledge! ;)

BTW, I also would go for the blk vinyl top, just because! :)

I'm not following. Those are the recommended color combinations and there are 5 colors that were recommended with a green top. The corresponding stripe color is shown.
I've got it all now, I just were too fast when I read the table! ;)

the only way you could get black stripes with a hugger orange car is if it had a black vinyl roof. so to answer your question, your code 72 72 car would have white stripes.
Yes, thanx, I understand it now! :)
...but what about my quest above, was it impossible to get a striped casr if you had e green top?

Yup, for some colors the top color determined the stripe color.
See the 1969 Camaro Stripe Color vs Top Color http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#ExteriorColors
Yes, I'm with you here now! But you mean that a car with a green top couldn't have a stripe at all?

OK, so itīs the top color that states the stripe color? :)
My X44 has 72/72 as paint code and that means hugger orange body and top and therefore the DX1 stripe should be white then!?
