A z/28 motor with 010 block dated Oct. 69 is on sale in craigslist.
The vin appears to be 19N705705.  It looks legit. $6,900.

Joe,  for a 6A car, a correct block would be a 010 with a cast date in the area of 5-8 thru
5-14 and build date of 5-15 thru 5-24, as approximate dates.  Then you would have a
correct date block for your car.   If you like the hunt, dont quit looking for your original
block, unless you saw it junked.  Many cars have had replacement engines put in them
to hopefully increase their value to "almost" original engine car, but still not original.

Thankyou for the offer Ed, but not at this time.  I will keep working  on studying engine codes
and just want it to be noted that I respectfully disagree with the consensus.

Better update your database!   I decided just 2 years ago to start keeping pics of engine stamps
and discovered a couple things with original engine stamps that just dont hold up with restamps.

What of the pic makes you think its real?  The vin has 3 things wrong with it.
Not to mention the nice looking decked pad.

Well, in the minority again, but it may be real cause it exists, and good
cause its clear and a nice restamp, but my .02 says its not original.
The engine code is a good restamp original looking stamp, but they
need to work on their vin re - stampings.  I hope no member
from here got took.

and lastly I agree... we should be careful with how much we post so as to not educate the bad guys on making better fakes...

I completely agree with the above statement.  And I'm sorry, but that is why I can not type what I believe is wrong with
"Chicks" stamp.  I just wanted to help GI Joe out and not let him throw good money at a non original car.   GIJOE - you mis-typed
yahoo, please re send.

Chick, I did not put that out there to disgruntle you, but just FYI.   Of course, since Jerry says its good, whats my .02 worth??

Well, I dont consider myself an expert either.  I have owned a couple 68zs, have several original 68 blocks with good stamps. But besides the stamp in
question here for the guy who started this thread, IMHO, the stamp for 68camaroz28's " 1221 Mo "  stamp is a restamp also.
