General Discussion / Re: 1969 Gas Gage issue
« on: February 18, 2009, 12:20:02 PM »
Sender should be at 90 ohms for a full tank and 0 ohms for empty.
If there was a short it would be reading empty, so that's not the problem.
Try this... Unplug the sender wire (tan) from the harness in the trunk and then turn
on the ignition key, gauge should read past full.
If it doesn't, you have eliminated the sender(it's probably OK), it's either the wiring or the gauge.

Restoration / Help with Differences in Door Glass
« on: January 14, 2009, 12:12:30 PM »
I went to look at some used replacement door glass for my 69,
and the guy had 2 windows that looked identical except for the
bottom(lower) edge: one had a straight edge and the other had
a curved(arched) edge.

Which would be correct for a 69 coupe???
Thanks.

General Discussion / Re: Having thoughts of selling
« on: January 02, 2009, 05:11:38 PM »
Now is not a good time to be selling, due to the economy, prices are down.
I would keep it as long as you can and wait for a turnaround.
Good Luck.

I'm not sure about originality.... but I believe that the windshield is the only "laminated" glass in a car, so it sounds like it could be.

I just bought those from NPD - and they are rubber for both.

You can buy entire exhaust systems from headers to tailpipes and install yourself.

Decoding/Numbers / Re: Plate Decode for 1969 Camaro

There is absolutely NO WAY that it's only $14K..... SCAM... Run away.

Restoration / Re: Traction Bar Removal
« on: November 19, 2008, 12:15:54 PM »
I think that all you need to replace is the shock plates.
The shocks would not have been relocated, just because bars were added.

I would replace the flasher... they're very inexpensive.

Maintenance / Re: 69 Headlamp Problem

Most likely it's the headlight dimmer switch on the floor.
Those things are notorious for going bad.

I would post this on the Team Camaro site... http://www.camaros.net/forums/
You are more likely to get an answer there.
