Nice.
The wheels and front spoiler are very similar to those available on second gen's...

Originality / Re: 68 subframe bushings
« on: February 28, 2019, 07:57:52 PM »
I've had both poly bushings and solid aluminum bushings... Not much difference between the two.

I went with Global West's solid bushings on my 69, simply because I also was installing Hotchkis (weld-in) subframe connectors and needed bushings that would last forever (replacing them again would be very hard to do).
BTW: I installed mine 8-9 years ago and have had no issues. I would do the same setup again.

Which ever you decide on, make sure to get a kit that includes ALL new hardware (bolts & washers).

White interiors are starting to grow on me. Nice looking driver.

Agreed. For what it is, it's a great looking car.
Curious as to what it will sell for.

Restoration / Re: How to remove original windshield without breaking
« on: November 20, 2018, 06:00:24 PM »
I used Safelite Auto Glass. They had a tech that specialized in older classic cars.
He removed both the windshield and back glass without breaking them (although he couldn't guarantee that).

When I was ready, he came back and re-installed the glass.

Jim King was bought out by Braeger Chevrolet... in the mid-80's, I think.

Maintenance / HELP!: Kick Panel Installation
« on: July 24, 2018, 05:13:51 PM »
I had to take a break...

I've been attempting to install the Right side (non-AC) kick panel and it's not going well (and that side should be the easier of the two). I'm afraid that I'm going to break the thing...
I've tried trimming the inner-most plastic flange a bit and that did seem to help, but it's still not going in.

Any tips, tricks, or thoughts as to how to get this thing in??
(or is cussing & swearing required?)
