I sure hope that if this is true, it was minor and no one got hurt.

The partial VIN you have listed is for a '69 Camaro, the casting number of the block was only used in '69, and the casting date of the block is K198, which is Nov. 18, 1968, so we know this engine is for a '69 model year car. Remember that the model years started production in August rather than Jan 1st, so there were a lot of '69 cars actually built in '68. The MO assembly code was used for the '67 and '68 302, but was never used for a  '69. Post some pictures so we can have a look at what you've got.

Did they use I instead of 1 in the VIN? Looks like 124379N599I07.

I'ts my understanding that the crossrams were never installed at the factory, but were available over the counter, so there is no such animal as a factory crossram car. Unless there is a receipt accomapanying the car showing it was purchased at the same time as the car or a work order showing the dealership installed it, I'd say it is a marketing ploy. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

First thing, if you have the room, go at least 30' deep. 24' doesn't leave much room to get around the car if there is a work bench in front of it. It'll cost you a little more, but you'll never regret it. Probably ought to go at least 12' side walls if you are putting a lift in there, 14' if you can do it and stay under your height requirement. Insulate under the concrete, even if you aren't planning on heating it. Sooner or later you probably will, and then it's too late if you don't.

Pop the rear seat back cushion out and see if there is a X1, X2, X3, etc in chalk on the bulkhead behind the seat if it is a Norwood built car. Sometimes they put it there. X1=X11, X2=X22, etc.

John Z.. The narrative time machine... Gold.

It never ceases to amaze me. I have yet to see a question JohnZ can't answer. Heck, I can't remember what happened last week, much less 50 years ago.

In 1990 I bought a farm that lies around this little town named Buena Vista (4 blocks total). 150 dogs, 50 inhabitants, and only 6 people with jobs. lol! Locals never call it Buena Vista, it has always been referred to as Bueny (rhymes with puny). Then my friends started calling me the Mayor. Hence the name.

I'm no expert, but that tag looks as fake as the day is long.
