Does anybody have a good idea when the shifter levers stamped "MUNCIE" were replaced with the non-stamped lever ?

Restoration / Re: Any pictures of windshield mounting clips?
« on: June 15, 2010, 12:15:52 AM »
The screws under the cowl are short sheetmetal screws with a "M" on the socket head. The outer clip holes are right above the top door hinge bolt, it may be hidden by the end of the widow rubber coming from the roof line. These outer clips use the same screws. they can be installed in place but be careful of bending your stainless or scratching the paint. I have installed them after the stainless is in place with a pair of needle nose vicegrips, be sure to make sure the clip lands all the way into the trim before screwing them down. Another set of hands and eyes would be helpful.

Dont froget to check the padding and the springs. The failure of either probley lead to the original tear.

After following this thread my "respect" for a "certified" car is gone.  I never knew that they can be tilted depending on what the person paying wants to hilghight. I thought the inspection would be the same no matter what the out come was. Buyer Beware for sure!!

« on: December 11, 2009, 03:12:19 AM »
Hi guys,
I am still in need of the proper location (which hole uses which fastener) information, I did go through the Fisher book but could not find a picture or list of fastener order.
Paul, What page did you see this picture? The 68 B.B.F. book i purchased was printed AUGUST 1967 (Perfect  condition for $10.00 from Louie @ the Long Beach Swapmeet) Any 68 Guys out there that remember the fastener order?
      Thank you,

Restoration / 68 R/S rocker trim fasteners
« on: November 18, 2009, 02:26:07 AM »
Hi guys,
I need help with the correct use of the 4 different mounting fasteners. for each side there are 11 mounting holes. 3 on the front fender, 3 on the quarter panel, and the rest on the door. the AIM only shows the front fender mounting. Does any one know where I can find another picture of the mounting? I can easly mount the trim, but I want it in the correct order.
 Thank you,
  Victor

 Hi Guys,
I have not been able to confirm this yet but I'm thinking the Dash trim only came with a N30 or N34 Steering wheel.
