I did not make that show but a couple of friends did and had a blast, there is a all Camaro show first week in August at Selman Chevrolet in Orange Ca with over 125 Camaros all years and conditions, it was a good show last year!

JKZ27 I drove that 67 RS SS triple black 396 325 4 speed, 23kmiles or so, across the block, I talked with the family that owned it, the kids were bummed that Dad did not give it to them, very nice family, engine bay was clean but not detailed correctly. I congratulated the Dad and gave my apologies to the kids LOL
Driving all of those cars across the block was a ball, my friend Dave drove the COPO across and he will never forget that experience either.

I'm heading over there now, I've been asked to drive the cars up to the auction block all 3 days, sounds like fun.

Can someone take a look at the Z10 on ebay and give me their opinion on the cowl tag? This car looks interesting to me and is not to far away. Any comments or questions would be appreciated, Thanks

General Discussion / Re: To the paint shop!

Good for you! My 68' Z28 was in paint shop prison for 10 months, just saw the final stages of clear coat sprayed on it today. Good things go to those that wait is a BS analogy, it's more like squeeky wheels get the grease! I don't complain or cry wolf and I'm very patient and I won't change now. You have to be patient in this hobby and not rush things, the right parts are out there and you just have to look and then look some more and know what you're buying. Everybody says "I can't wait 'till I get it: but believe me...we can, and do wait and it seems like forever! I wish everybody the best of luck on their projects!

Originality / Re: Chrome shifter knob
« on: July 28, 2013, 11:29:00 PM »
Other than it was hot, and the Hurst T handle, why did so many owners replace the chrome ball? I must see more than 50% of the cars with consoles with replaced ball handles, a lot of stated Original/Restored Cars also are restored without the chrome ball, is this just a bad oversight or could you tell the Dealer you wanted a different colored ball shifter when ordering your car? Just asking...curios.

LM69Z28 mike how are you feeling? I have not seen or heard from you in awhile, hope everything is good, still got the 69 Z28?

yep, we've all been through it. My first was at 15 years old, plain jane 68' Camaro sold it, Second was a 84' Z28 sold it, Third was a 77' Camaro sold it too, Fourth was a 69' SS Convertible kept it, Fifth was a 69' RS SS kept it, Sixth was a 68' Z28 kept it too. As I get older I get smarter.
