Here's my "first" car ever, bought in 1973 for $1200.00.
I put "Yellow Shag" carpeting in it to complete the look!
Would love to know if it still exists.
It was bought from a guy in Elmwood Park, Illinois.

Originality / Re: '69 Z/28 spark plug wire stands

My (2) Pace Cars (350CI) have a metal tube with the hose for the booster going thru the orange wire bracket.
My Z's booster hose uses the long silver bracket.

Restoration / Re: restamped distributor

Not a lot of cars survived all of their original engine components as these were upgraded or changed without thought for future value.
The main components are what most people judge what they are buying.
Besides, many people buy restamped engine components with no knowledge that they are not original. Suspecting a entire car because of this is a bit of a stretch.
I wouldn't pass on a nice car just because it had a restamped distributor!
Just my opinion.

Not too many people discount a car for a wrong distributor!

You have to pry or pull the backrest arms away from the bottom seat stud that it fits over.
It's not easy, but it is the only way to get them separated.
There should be a clip pressed over the stud that needs to be removed first.

Ooops, I think I mixed up my vendors.
I believe Jerry is right, Classic Head Quarters in a blue and white box.
Sorry for the misinformation.

For my money, Trim Parts makes excellent (better than NOS) door handles and emblems.
Most of the major suppliers carry them.

It's also a good idea to have a radiator shop build up the solder around the neck of the tubes for additional strength. Very easy to tweak them a little during installation and have a leak.

The N17 you mention by the oil filter could be N67 which is the beginning of your partial vin.
Just a thought.

Yes.
Most solutions used will attack aluminum.
Take some pictures of before and after to document the removal.
You will be amazed at what the car will look like when you get it back!
Good luck!
