Originality / 69 Trunk Divider
« on: March 24, 2009, 01:33:25 AM »
OK , my 69 Z/28 came with a trunk divider that had no pad. The one I bought has pad and I've nearly destroyed it trying to put it in. It's like the seat hooks do not line up and were stamped wrong. I'm am pretty sure the black board part face's the trunk.  ??? Can someone let me know how it should go?

Now I find that Heartbeat City sells the correct one without the pad that my X77 car came with.

Originality / 1969 Master cylinder
« on: January 07, 2009, 01:55:20 PM »
I have seen 69 cars with power disc brakes that have a master cylinder other than the "309" . My car had one like this in the picture. The car in the picture has been the original owner since 74. Is it possible some these were used at the factory. Was it common for this part to fail and have to be replaced so soon? Just wondering.  ???

Thanks CRG

http://www.camaros.net/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=31771

Description:  1969 L72 Camaro COPO 427/425 HP block. The casting number 3963512 with casting date of A.27.9. January 27th 1969. The Build date of the motor is 0318 MN. March 18 1969. MN is 1969 Camaro COPO 427 w/4-speed. This is a standard bore block with 4 bolt mains. This block has been baked, cleaned and pressure tested. I have the paperwork that was performed for this block. It has a light scratch on the #5 cylinder. All the cylinders are .0015 to .002 oversize except #5 which is .003. There is a VIN stamped on the block near the oil filter. It reads: 19N6504XX. The VIN of the '69 Camaro would be 124379N6504XX. It comes with the factory standard bore pistons (3906648) and 3/8 dimple rods.
