16  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Old pictures of the 1969 Z/28 I owned in the late '70's on: February 22, 2013, 09:23:06 PM
Sorry it's Gen 2 but I didn't get my '69 till 2006!  My first Camaro, '70 Z28, 4-sp., motor stock except Nitrous, 1-off glassed-in back spoiler.  Yes it's posi- just a windy day. Pics from '78, owned it '77-'79, almost died the day I sold it but needed the money for college.

I like the simplicity of the shirts above in Kurt's post.  IMO, nice for the front and back to look different.  Great job by all you guys working on this!

Count me in...cap and t-shirt(s) if it gets up and going.  Maybe someone on the site has been or is currently in this type of business?

23  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Top boot front lifting on highway on: May 02, 2012, 10:16:17 PM
My boot is really old but don't know if it's original.  I probably drive a little too fast a little too much but had the same problem.  Had the guy who did my top (he does a lot of fabulous one-off work) put 3 small chrome snaps in it.  I know, it's not original but sure looks nice and problem solved.  Don't think anyone's ever even noticed 'em.

25  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Restoring White Lettering on Tires on: April 12, 2012, 10:33:12 PM
I used SOS pads & water back in the late 70's.  Worked well then, works well now.  I get the same thing with my tires.  Have to scrub 'em about every 4-6 months or so but only takes a few minutes for all four.

Beautiful job Daniel.  Enjoy your 'new' ride and all the offers you'll get for it!  Nothing like a reborn 1st Gen!

Norwood June cars are O6A for all weeks.  Found this out when I was researching mine on this site and Team Camaro.
