Decoding/Numbers / Re: trim tag is it OK 67 L78

I didn't mean to write 4N.  I meant to write 4P.... sorry.   That car should be a 4P, not a 4K....

The biggest problem I see is its an 04A with a 4K tag.   With the first L78's coming out at the end of March (03C?) until near the end of April the L78's would have been tagged with a 4N.  After 04C or so they began to use 4K for L78's.   So I'm thinking for this to be a good tag it would have to be a 4N, and NOT a 4K....   Perhaps this car was an exception???

Tony,

Not a bad idea.  Now that I'm building the list of potential RPO dealership replica cars or black nosers we'll see what we can come up with...

Looks like an L30M20 to me.....

General Discussion / Re: 1967 pace cars

Is there any chance a list of VINs exists for the 1967 pace cars.  I a looking at a car that is being represented as a pacer.

If you would please come over to www.camaropacecars.com, and start a posting in the 67 pace car section we'll be very happy to help you determine what your looking at.

Kurt,

We're very aware that these cars were made as early as 09A and 12C in 1966.   I'm waiting to talk with the current owner on this particular car as it appears sometime in the past they talked to someone else (a very well know pacecar expert) and told them....

And when we are talking dealership replicas (from say 04A to after the race like 06C or later) we tend to think that that it should follow the genral rule of being an RS or RS/SS Convertible, equipped with a bright blue "R" deluxe "732-Z" interior, C-1 or C-4 to be comparable to the actual and pace car replicas, so this is why I have yet to find another C-4 later then our 06C car.

Yes their were quite a few non RS, RS, and RS/SS's that were C-4's, built without the bright blue deluxe interiors, but these do not follow the Indy pacer attributes...

Thanks for looking for this car/VIN Kurt.   I believe it's out there and was recently told it was a black nose dealer replica....

So CRG has   R (Bright blue)  732-Z deluxe interior  C-4 (Irmine white-blue topper) RS/SS Convertibles later then 06C?

Thanks again.

Rick

and here's the string I started over at camaropacecars.com where I'm an active member....

Any information anyone has about this car (which hasn't been talked about since the camaros.net string in Nov. of 1999) and how I can reach the past or current owner would be greatly appreciated!

I entered this over at Camaropacecars.com and Camaros.net (where I'm also a member) and wanted place it here too.....

As part of my wife's cars continued research I'm hoping someone on here knows about a particular car that was recently discussed with me and I have a interest in knowing more about.

Its cowl tag is:

06C R
ST67 12667NOR138291
WD 2ZGS 3SL
4N 5Y

The VIN is 124677N238090

I believe this car may have been a very late (or the latest) dealer replica-replica per information from other sources.

I found a 1999 string on this particular car over on camaros.net and just added a response and request for anyone who knows about this car, old owner, or current owner as this car was made 1 day before our 06C C-4 blue topper. It was not imported and is definitely not a Canadian Centenial car.

Here's the string I responded to over at .net

http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=26561

I am hoping that someone in our group or a visitor knows who currently owns or owned this car that was recently discussed with me.

Thanks guys!

Originality / Re: L30M20 Tire Pressure Sticker
« on: December 26, 2007, 06:20:35 PM »
Thanks for the reply Ron!   Its been quite some time and I'm surprized that I didn't hear more feedback on this....

I was hoping that someone on here can tell me what size tire was used on a 67 camaro with an "H" tire pressure sticker on the glove box?

Also, the car came with drum brakes, which width and "code" 14 inch rims would be used to mate with the "H" size tires?

Thanks so much.

Rick
