assuming the 1100837 number is original , i had plans on using it on my '69 2D L78 camaro (N6042XX). I'm satisfied original date code to alternator is 9B19 and not 8B19 and not 0B19. Until i find a nice unrestored one ,one i have will do. I did pay more for it 'than just another 37A alternator core'. Thanks for all responses.

Has anyone attempted to repair a smog tube end (at the manifold)? if you were successful ,how did you do it?

« on: February 16, 2020, 05:56:46 PM »I'm curious why alter the date stamp on an otherwise legit looking part number?bought this at a local swap meet from a guy that sold his Z, not sure if this alternator was from his Z and never made it back on the car before he sold it or he just bought it as an extra. I bought the alternator thinking that it was original but nowadays I see many unrestored questionable ones on Ebay. So I wanted to post it here for analysis and scrutiny .
