Restoration / 69 Z & LM1 & L48 Tune-up / Emission Decal(s) - revisited

A lot of you know we have done one of these particular decals for years now and it is one of our most popular items for 69 Camaros. Over the years I have had numerous requests for some of the other versions of this decal. There was a very lengthy thread on this a few years ago. I have had to decline pursuing others as they are very difficult, intricate and time consuming to do in an effort to get them as accurate as possible. Furthermore, my computer guru buddy got married again a couple of years back and his time was being devoted elsewhere. Well, we can now commit some time to other decal projects. In fact, we just completed the most accurate LS6 Emission Decal available.
A number of enthusiasts have forwarded pictures of originals and I thank you for that. I have kept on file pictures from Mike Gooding (two different versions) and Bob Watroba (separate version). We are going to take a look at these other three versions. I cannot make any promises that we will be successful, so please stand by for progress.
I have uploaded a PDF file with copies of the four different versions. Maybe there are more versions as well, but these are the four I am aware of.
There are actually numerous differences between each of the four versions. Most of these are simply a matter of alignment for each of the various lines. However, one of the main differences is the letter S at the end of the top line. Two versions have the S while two do not. In the attached PDF file you will note that examples A and B do not have the S. The one we have done is picture A.
What I would like to know from the Camaro gurus on here is where (plant) and when (months) might have used each of the four examples. I can guarantee that if we do get these done, and I add these three other decals to my website, the main question I will likely get is Which one is correct for my car?

Originality / Would appreciate a picture

I am looking for a picture of an original 69 Camaro shock decal. Also, the measurements would be appreciated. Main item of interest is the font that was used (which I should be able to determine), in addition to seeing the spacing between the two digits. I'm trying to fine tune my decal offerings service. Thanks in advance for any help.

Restoration / One 69 Jacking Decal now completed

There were obviously several Jacking Instructions Decals used in 1969. After several months we have now replicated the one dated 10-1-68 part number 3949506. We have taken our normal care in an effort to make this as accurate as possible. Thanks to CRG members for providing pictures of originals.

Originality / 69 Spring Tags

Will be doing seven posts in a row here so please bare with me.
Thought it prudent to have a new thread for this rather than continue in the other thread that is discussing several items. I researched the fonts for these and purchased two fonts on the weekend. The fonts are different for the letters and numbers. I have printed out several samples which you will see in the pictures below. Important to note there is no vinyl sealed on these samples so they may appear a little dull.
When you analyze fonts there are several letters which really need to be scrutinized. The primary ones are A G Q. The first picture below is from an original tag from a 69 Chevelle. Check out the style of the original Q compared to my sample.
With the original font the two numbers which need to be reviewed are 7 9. The downward arm on the 7 starts out narrow at the top and gradually widens near the bottom. For the 9, notice how vertically stretched the upper enclosed part is.

Originality / Looking for another decal project to consider

We would like to take a look at another decal project where the repro is not accurate or one that is not being made at present.
I have had some requests for the 68 Z/28 Emission Decal, but do not have a high resolution, quality picture to work with. If anybody could provide such a picture we could take a look at doing it.
I have also had requests for the 69 Camaro Jacking Instructions Decal. I have no idea how many different ones were made for that year, but I would assume several. We may consider looking at the most popular one (EG - most widely used) if somebody can provide a picture.

I get pictures of various decals sent to me on a regular basis and unfortunately I cannot remember who sent this original as I would like to give him some credit. Im assuming it was from a member here.

On both repros you could literally go line by line and find errors. Most of these would be spacing and alignment to the lines above and below. How about adding an S to the word Emission on line one? Lets be honest, not everybody cares about correctness of decals, but we cater to those that do care.

Originality / 68 Z/28 spare and jack equipment

As some of you may know I have a part time hobby of replicating various original decals either due to the repros not being correct (almost all of them) or certain ones are just not available from the aftermarket.
I have had several requests over the past year to do the Jacking Instructions for a 68 Z/28. Up until this time nobody has been able to provide me with a picture of an original one which we need to work with. An enthusiast has now provided me with pictures of two originals supposedly from two different Z/28's. This decal is dated 1-10-67 and has a part number of 3909124. I have two questions which hopefully you can help with:
1) - Is the above date and number correct for a 68 Z/28?
2) - I have looked at two repros of this decal which have the usual alignment and spacing errors. However, the repros show a "screwdriver" as part of the jacking equipment. Did a 68 Z/28 originally come with a screwdriver which I assume would have been used for the trim rings?

Originality / 69 Emissions Decal

Here is a picture of an original emissions decal from a 69 Chevelle. What I would like to know is if this was the same decal used on the L35 and L34 Camaros in 1969? Appreciate any input.
