I think on the Camaro pump the return hose pipe is indexed slightly away from the block. Big cars it is turned toward the block. I have a couple if you need more pics.

Your return line is in the wrong place. Should come out the bottom of the can.

Only ones I have heard sound like glass packs when you let off the gas. Maybe if I were 17 again but not at 70.

Restoration / trunk drop-offs

I need an opinion on the best trunk drop-offs that actually fit for a 69. The ones I have might as well be for a Honda they fit so bad. Thanks

Since this is an October 1968 casting the vin should be on the pad. It wasn't moved to the location by the oil filter until later.

I am the owner of the car being discussed and no I am not dreaming about what the car is worth. It does look rough in the pics but I chose not to fluff it up, instead doing only what I had to do to get it running. Everything  mechanically on the car is in great shape and it is a very solid running driving original drive train Z. It would be a very easy car to restore due to nice floors, base of dash at windshield, frame rails, shock towers and trunk pan. Since I  have turned down way more than the current bid I guess others agree. IMO  :)
