Appearance wise the one you list from HBC is correct, but the ferrule and nut is not.

General Discussion / Re: Big block fan shroud
« on: May 25, 2018, 04:43:22 PM »
I have worked for gm parts for 32 years. Never seen 67-69 Camaro shroud with out part number cast in the shroud. That is the way  i would check in the shroud. But i have seen one were the hole was not drilled. We sent it back to gm as defective. So i would say anything is possible as far as the hole. Also checked 2 nos shrouds have 3 beads one used does not have not have bead's all stamped with part #3947619. Hope this helps.          I must have the one you sent back It has no ribs across the top has the part # and the hole hasnot been drilled.

I have an OEM 69 Camaro fan shroud and the hole at the top where the bracket bolts up has never been drilled. I am wondering if it is NOS. anyone ever seen this? It has a 68 in the small circle thanks

No 69 Pace cars were built this early.

There is a real good article with pics at Yenko.net. Search 1969 Chevy Big Block P/S Pump difference.

Go back and read reply 11.

Not saying your isn't original but the return hose pipe should be indexed toward the block. Maybe your got bent? Mine is original and looks like the one in the fourth pic.

If someone knows how to put a pic on here I have a real good pic of a correct pump with all three brackets I can Email. I sent to a member he couldn't get on here. Said it sent it to Kurt because it was too big.

I think on the Camaro pump the return hose pipe is indexed slightly away from the block. Big cars it is turned toward the block. I have a couple if you need more pics.
.  Well my chemo brain told me just the opposite of what is correct. The return pipe is indexed toward the block. I dug out the original pump and brackets from my 69 L-78 but don't know how to post pics. I can email to whoever wants to put them on here.

Pics don't match up.
