It is shown in your Assembly Manual (AIM) under RPOZ22 page B6.

It is correct to have the labels on the fan shroud if you have Air Conditioning, as the hood seal gets in the way of the labels in their normal location.  The cores support above is drilled for the A/C seal retainers.

In fact, I believe the holes are made to secure the vacuum hose for the right headlamp cover. This hose is routed underneath the radiator support, using some plastic retainers.

There are no holes in the top of a 69 Core support to for plastic clips to hold up the RS vacuum or headlight washer hoses, they are supported with those big fat wire tys that get  wrapped around the front wiring harness that runs across the front of the radiator under the lip of the core support in about 4 places.  The only time those little 1/8" (about) are drilled in the core support is when the A/C seal was added, originally there would just be dimples in the top of the support to locate the holes, but they are not drilled.

General Discussion / Re: PTB stamps backwards P meaning?
« on: April 06, 2016, 11:20:12 AM »
On these cars with the backwards P's do both sides have the same stamp?  Inspections were supposed to be done by two teams one on each side of the car as I understand it each with their own stamps.  If both stamps are the same it might mean something, if only one side is backwards its probably a custom made or repaired stamp.

Original Cars and Details / Re: Z28 cowl paint (and Z11/Z10)

Blackout was the last painting operation on Fishers side, done after all other body color, striping, etc was completed, and it included blacking out the rocker panels and tail panel if you had a car requiring those features.

Fisher, Chevy only painted the front fenders hood, and upper and lower valances, basically the stuff forward of the firewall, Fisher painted everything else.

And for the benefit of the group, here's a layout of the wires for an AM radio and 8track setup.

You are missing one wiring extension harness that fits between the speaker output wiring from the 8 track and the under dash speaker harness.  The 8 track wiring will not reach all the way up under the dash, it ends just forward of the shifter, so GM made up a short  18" or so long harness to extend it all the way up to the area above the radio where the dash harness ends.  I found this out when I went to install my console mounted 8 track (you don't need it if you have a dash mounted version.  I had to go to M&H wiring to get it,  it is M&H part number 35939 (equates to GM part number 6295249).

Bottom line is that the cars were built during the last week of April are intermixed in with the 05A build bodies at Norwood, but no one really seems to know why this date code exists, error, secret meaning, broken die who knows?  My car is an 04L pacecar, built about 60 Vins before the last GM reported VIN for April.

Does anyone really think that if they had buddies on the plant that would take care of you and give your new car a little extra attention and maybe a freebie or two that convertible rockers on a coupe would be on anyones list of must have additions to a car.

For 1200 bucks you would think it would be a little cleaner than that.

General Discussion / 67 Big Block with Bench Seat
« on: March 02, 2016, 11:58:18 AM »
Heres a 67 white on white 06C coupe with a BB, TH400 and a bench seat.

For sale, 35K here.  I suppose I should add I know nothing about the car, including if its real or not.  It has D55 in the pictures and a bench seat, which seems like an unlikely combo and there should be a 2M on the cowl tag.

does it continue to swing over to hot if the car is not running and cold, or just when it is running and starting to heat up?

It's separate, believe it was part of the A/C wiring coming thru the firewall in that big grommet behind the passenger side head.  Sometimes the short end of that inline fuse holder is there (that's the end in the A/C harness) and the rest of it including the actual fuse holder ends up missing.

Decoding/Numbers / Re: One hidden vin different
« on: February 13, 2016, 10:05:34 PM »
67 327's do not have vin stamps on them, so that alone indicates a restamp, even without seeing the out of line vin stamps.  Only the L48's, Z28's and big blocks got vin stamps on the engines.  The vin stamp on the top o the cowl matches the VIN plate, and both rosette rivets still appear to be original and in place, so this is a very early built 6 cylinder car, #143 probable built the last week of August 66 at Norwood.  The cowl tag is from a much later December built car that has obviously been removed from its original body (look at the area around the rivets)  Can't explain the stamp under the heater as it appears to me to be 7N750322, which is not a valid 67 (or any first gen Camaro VIN) If it was 7N150322 it would be a close match to the cowl tag, but the body appears to have been red originally, as the paint around the elephant ears seems to be the original color, and the tag indicates its from a Turquoise car with a black top so that doesn't match the remnants of the paint.  Quite a mystery, but there are parts from two cars in this one.

Its actually part of the vacuum can, the spot welds to the canister have either been torn off, or rusted off.
