Hi I am having a 302 assembled next week for my 8 Z and have been following all the camshaft talk. I have bought a Speed-Pro 30-30 cam part# CS-118R  that I was going to install in the engine. Any thoughts on this cam good or bad before I use it or not use it. Thanks Paul

There is no better sounding car than a 302 z ringing out at  7000RPM. I remember visiting my Grandpa at a local GM dealership and seeing these 302 cars coming in and out for service and test drives. No better rush for  a young kid.

Anyone have a favorite plug to use in a stock 302 motor.  AC43s seem to foul up terrible even with the carb lean.

Hi I am wondering if anyone lives in the Orange California area could help me locate a original name plate for my 68 Z . The car was sold new at Selman Chevrolet in 1968 and when I brought the car up to Canada it had the old nameplate still attached to the rear tail panel. Somewhere durinng the restoration it was misplaced. The holes were left original in the tailpanel to install one if one can be located. Take a look if anyone lives in the area. Thanks Paul

I think Jerrys white 68 car has the steel seat backs.Not sure of the build date of it though.

Thanks for the info.I have heard that the metal could have been used up until the 2nd week of march with the plastic backs in early February being put into production. I had a 02C car years ago and it was steel backs. Who knows today with all the urban myths.on these cars. Thanks again maybe our cars ran across each other at the factory.

Could someone please let me know if steel seat back panels  would have been used on a 02E 1968 Z28. I have had my documented Z judged many times and always the judges deduct points because they seem to think only 1967 cars had them and all 68s had the plastic ones. For my own info. does anyone 2nd my thought. Thanks again

I always use the Federal mogul/Speedpro cam. I tighten the valves a little more like Jerry says and the car runs as strong as any 302 car  I have been in. Listen to Jerry and you will never be so happy.

Is a 1968 and 1969 AM antenna mast the same. And if so does only the lower bezels change from a 68 to a 69 car. Thanks
