So what is your point?

I think the question is "What is your point?"

Since you are posting here you must have some reason for posting?

As in something worth contributing to the conversation?

IF you don't, then don't post on my Thread.  Thanks!   :P :P

You are going to get one notice, and this is it.

Act like you want to be here, or you won't be.

Not a 12 bolt, but a late 69 model year 10 bolt using the 3 letter code convention.

I can’t guarantee it’s original paint, but believed to be.

You should have tried the chalk.

General Discussion / Re: 69 ZL1 engine for sale

About 10-12? years ago I could have bought a nearly complete ZL1 engine. It was stupid to not have bought it based on prices today, but I passed. It was $20k. If my memory is right it had the intake, correct dated heads, correct dated block, 7115 crank, dimple rods and standard pistons with an AS number stamped on the deck. No VIN and no engine plant assembly plant date and engine code stamping.

No guarantee that it is a 1969 produced block and the heads are 1971.

Try rubbing some chalk on that area, then carefully brush it off. The chalk will sometimes stay in the stamped characters and make them easier to see.

Looks like they tried to find a partial VIN. But I don't see anything posted on if they found one.

We had two links in the engine section but they don't seem to be working right now. I am checking on them.

I have tried it before but did not have any luck.

I believe the charged amount would depend on the situation.

For example, a Z28 with stripe delete would probably have no charge.

A GM color, but not a Camaro color would have a given charge, but a non-GM color may have a higher charge.

still warm, I have read that they did that somewhere I believe.

Correct. I think I have one example of cast and assembled the same day.

Others can be several months apart.
