Research Topics & Reports / Re: Hurst Shifter date codes

GreenNV,

You are pretty new here. Did you ever introduce yourself and tell us your background? New insight is always welcome here, just don't try to set the world on fire. Eh?

Your observations are interesting, but don't seem to fit what we have observed in original cars.

I am going to assume you have read this thread? Link below.

If that still doesn't help, I have 3 speedo adapters, and might be able to loan one out for you to try before you purchase a new one.

You are sure just changing the driven gear won't work?

What is your combination?

1969 - Orphans / Re: 69 DZ 302 on CR
« on: November 04, 2016, 11:41:53 AM »
Heads and intake obviously aren't correct.

Without a VIN, not much use in the Orphans section.

Anybody want to ask for the stamped information and post it with a pic of the pad?

It appears to be real, but can you get a better picture with the pad cleaned off more?

6-cylinder Camaros / Re: 69 Coupe with a Six and 3-on-the-tree on Ebay

The Z stripes and cowl hood certainly don't fit this car.

If it's truly that number of original miles, I wish it was all original otherwise.

Since the pics referring to that other block were removed (would no longer display), the point of splitting off a new thread was useless. That thread is now gone.  If claims can not be substantiated with direct proof, don't make them.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

I don't see any information for that VIN.

Cross ram setups were never on any Camaros from the factory but were available through the service department over the counter.

Not sure what they are worth. But they have some value.

Maybe my eyes are not the greatest, but it looks like the paint that ran is not quite the same color as what is under it?

Possible. But doubtful unless the front end was 3 feet up in the air. :)

On the eBay car...big mistake not going with Rallye Green.

I didn't see the V0411DZ assembly date. VERY suspect! Axle questionable as well. We need pics.

Just drug this out of a barn in Indiana this afternoon. The "C" has been peened over, guessing at the factory. This axle has never had the numbers area cleaned off till I bought it. Will get a better pic of Cast Date tomorrow. Looks like F119 (June 11th)?

Do the guts match the code?  What are the dates of the ring and pinion?
