It would be nice to know WHERE it is.

The goal is to reunite parts with their original car.

That's fine but in order for my to feel confident enough to consider adding it to the database, I need to see it. I asked him for a pic.

Paul, how do you know that is the partial?  I would like to see a pic of the stamping, and maybe I missed it, but I did not see one in the listing.

Can you post a better picture of the stamped information?

And...where was it found?

OK, took some time to think about it. My words here are mine only.

The CRG long-term goal is to be able to describe the production configuration of every major first-generation Camaro model and option, including mid-year changes.

BUT - I DON'T think it is up to the CRG to tell people how to get more points at a judged event.

Personally, I enjoy either non-restored or nice driver quality cars.  I don't THINK (but never say never) I will ever own "points car" or a "trailer queen".  Now I am NOT using those terms in a negative way, just using them to specify what cars I am talking about.  I have no negative thoughts about you or your car if that is the route you choose to take.

My father and I take our Camaros to a few shows, the cars are driven there and back.  And my son now has a 67 Camaro that we are going to restore in the next few years.  But it will be a driver, with some mods - not a true 100 percent perfect off the showroom floor type restoration. The cost of some NOS parts or very nice originals has gotten WAY out of hand in my opinion - and that has taken a lot of the fun out of it for some people.

Again, for those that choose to have their cars judged, I have no negative thoughts.  It is just not for me.

General Discussion / Re: What intake do i have on my 69 SB 350?
« on: April 04, 2017, 11:23:08 AM »
Well it it an aluminum Winters produced intake with a Chevy firing order cast on it. Looks like there is a casting number behind rear two carb stud mounting holes. Is that a casting number?

From just what I can see, might be an L79 intake. Check the casting number.

Most likely a typo on the POP, but check the axle tube.

Welcome to the site Heidi.

Nice Camaro.

What dealership was it purchased at when new?

Take a clear pic of the axle code after you gently clean the area, then post a pic.

Also check the casting number and casting date.

The only thing I am coming up with so far - for that code - is for a 1970 GTO.

Technically I am not sure which is correct. I would say 1967 Camaro 350 RS/SS  or 1967 Camaro SS350 with RS package.

You are correct.   Selling a title and vin plate from a destroyed car is illegal.

The other scenarios vary by state.  You can build a dynacorn bodied car in Oklahoma, but it gets a state issued vin.

I wish there was a national policy on this, following Oklahoma's lead.

I am going to respond to this, after I think about it more.

Can I send you the pics of my high school era Camaro from 1982?   6 cyl, 4 speed car.  I of course don't own it anymore....

If the pics are good and clear, one might be used for one of the pics for a non-Feature Car.  If you have the VIN and trim tag information, engine pics, etc. then we would consider as a full writeup. But currently owned cars would take higher priority.

The Feature Car writeups take some work, but are well worth it in my mind. Steve (and maybe Kurt) had the idea originally. I will admit I wasn't crazy about it prior to when we started posting the writeups. But I did change my mind. :)

Having good clear photos of multiple angles, at about 1024 x 768 resolution helps. And submit as much information as you can about the car.  I can always trim it down if needed.
