General Discussion / Re: motor mounts

So do you have a 3 point harness and an airbag?

Jon, not quite the same thing. You may have taken my reply out of context. We were talking engine mounts. Oh, and also timing gears.

I wasn’t applying my statement as universal for every topic. Sorry for any confusion.

I believe it’s the one in the last pic.

Never ran one on a race motor.

Exactly! Safety and function always trump originality for me.

You need to hook up an accurate gauge to see what it is actually running.
And the factory gauge is not....

Second that. If you want to see a quality gauge in action, go to Jerry M's website, http://z28camaro.com/. There's is a video near the bottom of him making a 1/4 mile pass in his 67 Z. The oil pressure gauge is pretty easy to watch in the video.

Pressure stays between 40 and 80, must not have had the thin oil in it.

Bill - did you get my email on a different topic?

Yes that’s absolutely correct Darrell.

I always think double pumper. That what I am running on my car now, an 850 cfm that flows just a bit more than that.

Excellent.

Since things had to be redone, I think I would have gone with the Ford ends and bolt in axles. But it’s done now so get the car on the road and enjoy!

Well we know for sure that these are not “68 Camaro engines”.  Still would like to see the stamped pad.

Trying to get better pics of the POP. That might help.

Not from what I have done for 40 years. No tension. Touching - but no tension.

Now that I think about it, if the accelerator pump was adjusted so there was tension on the pump lever at rest, could it be forcing fuel up thru the shooter when the engine was off?

Yes I think so.

I think there is more than one issue going on with this carb.  What gaskets were used?

I can not give a thumbs up or thumbs down on the POP.  Would need to see that in person. Someone that I greatly respect felt the same way.

There are some pretty convincing reproductions out there.

GM parts book lists that number for 67-68.  But I suppose could also be 69.

Rally wheels came with J52 front disc brakes in 67. Rally wheels were not required if you had power drum brakes.

Does the car have front disc brakes?

137,163 Camaros received the P01 wheel covers in 67.
