1968 - Orphans / 8N349104 transmission
« on: April 20, 2017, 07:36:33 PM »
Sorry if this is already listed somewhere. I searched but didn't see it.

Quote from the ad...

"Original 1968 Camaro muncie transmission with Richmond or Doug Nash M22 gears. Gears are in great shape trans spins and shifts smoothly, this transmission is a cashbox so it has no synchronizers. The case is in good shape, please look at the pictures and ask any questions before buying or making an offer."

General Discussion / Want Ads are NOT allowed
« on: December 22, 2016, 01:53:59 AM »
Have been seeing quite a few posts recently that are basically "Want Ads". These have NEVER been allowed, and there are no plans to change that.

If your post was removed, don't take offense. It's just one of the site rules.

This car is no stranger to CRG, but I believe it deserves it's own thread in this section.  Enjoy.

General Discussion / Homepage & Feature Car pics
« on: January 26, 2016, 10:14:26 PM »
We are always looking for pics of cars for use on the homepage.  These can either be just one picture, or we can do a Feature Car write-up.
If you want to have a Feature Car write-up, contact me at  bcm66@cox.net

Generally for a Feature Car write-up I would like the following.
1.  Cowl tag information about original colors, etc.
2.  1-2 Side view pics.
3.  1-2 Pics showing side and front of car (at an angle).
4.  1-2 Pics showing side and rear of car (at an angle).
5.  2 Engine bay pics.
6.  2 Pics of interior.

If you have any vintage pics, we can try to include those as well.  I generally don't like to have people in current pics, but may consider using them if they are vintage and you give permission to use them.

Pic size of 1064 x 728 is preferred.  If you can't do that, at least make the file size of each pic 1 MB or less please.  :)

Links for previous Feature Cars are below.

Original Cars and Details / 68 Z28 Butternut Yellow
« on: December 21, 2015, 01:45:46 AM »
This car is well known on this site, and many, many pics are in this thread.

http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=12453.0

But thought this car should be in this section.

70
We want to highlight feature(s) on original cars.  The goal is to be informative as to what the factory process or original parts were, with clear photos that show the details.

Send me a PM if you want to submit your car to highlight a feature and we will go from there. Ideally - if you have pics already posted on another site (like photobucket) we can just link to those.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

This section is meant to be FUN and INFORMATIVE.

Original Cars and Details / New Section
« on: December 04, 2015, 01:37:10 PM »
Stayed tuned for expansion in this category...

We will plan on doing one car or one topic per thread for now.

Who can start a thread is limited (the same as in the Research Topics and Reports section), but anyone can post.

72
We have had another thread going looking at the stampings on 1969 axles that used the two different casting numbers late in the year.  This topic is related, but takes a wider look, and is also looking for information from 10 bolt axles which are more common.

If you would like to participate, you can post the following please.

1.  Casting number on the center section.
2.  Casting date on the center section (in the "webbing" area).
3.  Data stamped on the front part of the passenger side axle tube.  Picture requested please.

Make sure your car (or the axle) was assembled between May of 1969 and the end of the model year.

You can either post it here, so send me a PM.  If you send a PM, your photos will be kept confidential.

Thanks in advance.

73
There is a separate thread asking about 1969 Z28 Camaros with the RS option and production numbers.  There are no solid numbers on how many 1969 Z28s also had the RS option, so we are doing this poll.  Thanks in advance!

General Discussion / June - ROTM on TC

Check this out.  Some very nice candidates again this month.  I voted for a green car.   8)

My car definitely is not a show car, but I may try to get some high quality pics this summer.  And may enter in the future.

6-cylinder Camaros / Water pump information
« on: August 20, 2014, 12:11:36 AM »
I am looking for water pump casting numbers and dates from 230 and 250 cubic inch engines.  If you could post your information here, that would be greatly appreciated.
