31  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / For Sale on Ebay on: December 29, 2010, 09:32:22 PM
Does anyone have additional information on this 69 SS? Ad says low mileage with some original paint. It appears to be an SS from the information posted. The CE block, spoilers and wheels are some of the obvious changes.

The SS wheels start with M4 then below that the year. I beleive some also have M1. This is different than the rally wheels which have a K for Kelsey Hays who made them. I don't know what the M stands for yet. Does anyone have an explaination?

Here is a stamp from one of my wheels. They are dated Novemeber 1968.

I prefer stock. My brother recent purchased a truck with a six cylinder three speed manual on the column, I really like it. Of course it is up to you and your preference.

I did not notice the color combination. Black exterior with orange hounds tooth interior, cool. What color hockey stripe would it have - white, orange or something else?

Kurt, thanks for moving the post to the right spot.

I suppose this is an orphan since it is missing the engine. Not mine, I found it on craigslist. If I only had a little extra cash, storage space and a lot more time! Appears to be a big block SS car to me, but certainly needs to be verified.

MyRed67,

Thanks for the information. I just saw these and thought I would share, but did not know anything about the product. I will make sure to find another source when I am ready to pruchase. My car is a long way from needing seat belt tags.

I see them on Ebay occassionally. Here is one set I found doing a search. I have never used any of these companies so I can't speak to the quality.

Spade connector. It is offset and has a large rubber boot that slides over the plastic part of the sender.

Do you mind sharing the ball park price? Are you just dipping the main body or doors and the rest?
44  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Mild Modifications / Re: TH400 conversion question on: March 02, 2010, 08:39:10 PM
You either need to change the flywheel and starter to the 168 tooth set up or change to a TH350 converter. You could also go with an after market higher stall converter which will be a smaller diameter.
45  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / 12A X22 Cowl Tag on Ebay on: February 16, 2010, 08:27:54 PM
I assume this tag is not original. I still can't tell the difference based on the font, but the website says 12B was the start of X codes. If anyone has an explaination I would be interested. Either way someone tracking this would be good for if/when it shows up attached to another Camaro.
