Restoration / Split Front Brake Rotors
« on: September 27, 2009, 10:26:17 AM »
Apparently someone is reproducing two peice split front brake rotors. Here is a link to ebay. I could find them listed on Camaro parts websites like Rick's. This must be a new item.

General Discussion / TH400 Transmission

The web site indicates a 4- digit production sequence number in the drivetrain decode section. While this is true for early prodiction cars, I beleive later production was a 5 - digit production sequence number in 1969. Here is a link to a later car on e-bay (transmission tag information cc 484 - 22840) . According to the ad Jerry certified this Camaro, so I assume it is not a restamp.

Does anyone have other 1969 video ads?

Decoding/Numbers / Early Production 1969
« on: July 06, 2009, 09:36:59 AM »
I thought this 1969 on ebay was interesting. It was built the first week of production (maybe the first day) with a VIN ending 500308. The cowl tag is 8D. Otherwise, not much left of this car.

I assume the photos on the main page are an April Fools Day joke. Where did the station wagon version come from?

Decoding/Numbers / 1969 Brake Booster
« on: November 26, 2008, 03:05:36 AM »
I am thinking about buying this booster. I once read that the early boosters had a smaller font than the later boosters. I can't find this information now and I don't know if the source was accurate. Does anyone have information or a link to font size information? Is there any problem with this code? If you perfer send me an e-mail instead.

Decoding/Numbers / Speaker Part Numbers
« on: October 12, 2008, 12:30:50 AM »
What are the speaker part numbers for a 1969 with an AM/FM mono radio with one front and one rear speaker? I don't beleive my car has the original front speaker, the part number is 7930571.

I think this is a Camaro transmission on Ebay. Since this is an LA VIN I am not completely certain. Correct me if i am wrong.
