Originality / 1969 Trunk
« on: October 24, 2021, 11:34:32 PM »
I was looking to purchase an original trunk lid and found this one. I did not buy it because it had four extra holes: one large hole near the date code, one large hole near the hinge and two small holes near the emblem. I have looked at the CRG report on trunk lids closely and this very early 1969 trunk lid does not match the photos. Has anyone seen a trunk lid like this and are these holes original?

What does the "33" mean on this early 69 carb base in the photo? Should it have both the julian date code and this number?

I am thinking about buying this carb. The numbers are not stamped straight. I need another opinion. Has it been restamped? Should I buy it?

What is the correct part number for a heat riser tube? I saw this one on Craiglist and was wondering if this is a good price.

What is the part number for 1969 fender extensions? Is there a different part number for RS extensions?

General Discussion / For Sale on Ebay

Does anyone have additional information on this 69 SS? Ad says low mileage with some original paint. It appears to be an SS from the information posted. The CE block, spoilers and wheels are some of the obvious changes.

I suppose this is an orphan since it is missing the engine. Not mine, I found it on craigslist. If I only had a little extra cash, storage space and a lot more time! Appears to be a big block SS car to me, but certainly needs to be verified.

Decoding/Numbers / 12A X22 Cowl Tag on Ebay
« on: February 17, 2010, 01:27:54 AM »
I assume this tag is not original. I still can't tell the difference based on the font, but the website says 12B was the start of X codes. If anyone has an explaination I would be interested. Either way someone tracking this would be good for if/when it shows up attached to another Camaro.

Decoding/Numbers / Carb Date

I found a carb dated one day before the vehicle assembly date. Is that possible? Any feedback would be great before I buy it.
