My 68 AIM shows the hole to be 1/2" dia. I just went to a hardware store and found a grommet to fit.

I just wondered if it had the ZDDP or whatever was taken out of the oil for cats.  It sure doesn't say what's in it.

So are we saying 40524 for 68Z and or 67Z?  That thread was my original question and I did get a 40524.  I was told that was correct for my car.

Two things:  In 1985 or 86, I went to a swap meet in Portland and there was a 67 Z28 for sale for $7 or $8K.  Even then we all knew 67zs were rare, but $7k was a little steep.  In high school, we went to a car lot on 82 ave. and saw a 65 Corvette, $4k.  It had new paint and looked like new.  We laughed, "Who would pay $4k for a Corvette?"  (I bought a 68 ss for $600).  But who knew?  Both cars would be doing better than my 401k.

There was  Hot Rod article a few years back that had that in it with all the parts and their costs.  I don't remember the figure.
1554  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: What is this connector for??? on: May 06, 2007, 05:45:05 PM
im guessing there is a wire that connects to this plug and goes to a switch on the trans somewhere? Anyone know where i can get this wire and switch? anyone have a pic of the routing of the wire?

I don't know about the 67 AIM, but in the 68 one its page 323 and section M20 anyway.  I got a repro one at Rick's.  I don't know if that's the right one for yours though.

Gambitt, when the commies come, I'm heading to you're house.  Is that your personal stash?  Seriously, the pic of the manifold looks like new, can't wait.

I'll look at mine tomorrow.  I have one that looks like that and e-mailed a pic to a guy that rebuilds OEM Hursts.  He said mine was out of a 75 Firebird or Transam?
