Maintenance / Accelerator Pump Gasket
« on: August 23, 2020, 12:25:24 AM »
I'm having trouble locating a new gasket for the accelerator pump on my dated 4153.  Holley lists a bunch but I don't know if it's 30 cc or 50 originally and Napa has some but I just wondered if it mattered if it was theirs or Holley or whatever.  Mine leaks and I sealed the gasket contacts surfaces so it must be in the diaphragm.

There are cleaning discs you can use.  Some of them say for DVD and CD or for just one specific player.  Look on Amazon.

I got some heads from Tracy corvette or something like that.  He seemed to have a large selection of intakes, exhausts, heads etc.

General Discussion / Re: Wiring harness question
« on: October 08, 2018, 08:28:33 PM »
My car had the gauges (not originally) and since my car originally had idiot lights, I bought the conversion harness and put it in.  Upon finally figuring out that the gauges were added , I undid the conversion.  It wasn't that hard to do and there was definitely a difference between the harness under the dash and how it's wired.  I still have the harness and all the instructions.

Lower the hood enough to insert washers between the springs. Raise the hood and it should have enough slack to pull out.

Back in April I was able to see Joe's 68 in CB.  I think it was the best if not one of the best colors ever.  I had a 68 in High School that was that color originally with a white vinyl top and that was a great combo too.  I wish I had painted it that color but it was the days where you changed colors to whatever was in.  BTW Joe, I found the pictures of my old car I was going to show you when I was there.  They were in an e-mail instead of in my pics.

That spring pocket can be a big problem.  I've had it out on two of my other cars. On one, the end was above the indent and the other it was about 180 off.

I bet they have plenty of AV gas up there.
