Originality / Re: Preservation of a 68 Camaro

According to Darrell they were very close at the LOS plant, both 12 d's, If my memory serves me correctly,
   I got the U17/D55 in mine.

I added the Header & A/C of RPO Z284 (For fun)

The "OLD" statistical analysis of  the obtained sample groups 1967/68 dated 2006/2007 indicated:
1967 w/ gages 58%
1968 w/ gages 56%

Yes. Unmounted unpowered Bench Test.
Using a Volt-Ohm-Meter select Ohms scale.
One lead to the sender output pin other to the sender structure (Ground)
Float (i.e. variable resistor wiper control)
Lowered=0 ohms= 0 gal  (EMPTY)
Raised=22.5ohms= 4 gal (1/4)
Raised=45omhs= 8 gal (1/2)
Raised=67ohms= 12 gal (3/4)
Raised=90ohms= 16 gal (Full)

THis is a theoretical tank curve and not the actual qty, but a good rough idea of float level to resistance "expected"

Restoration / Re: 69 Front Caliper Restoration

Gosh, I was looking for photos of my Pacer caliper rebuilds I did a few years ago, Now I sure think the single piston versions are very DIY friendly and the seal & Oring kits are very affordable, seating the seal and installing the piston past its installed o-ring with out injuring the Oring are but a few of the details I can vaguely remember. I can not remember if I had to polish the bore ever so slightly, new bleeder screw, new mounting bolts and slider o-rings and a splash of black paint, etc.

General Discussion / Re: sleeves for power steering hoses

My factory sleeve on the pressure hose is around 6" long.

The Silicone Mcmaster version is priced at .99 per inch.  better bulk pricing than half the Ford part pricing.
&
The neoprene hose selection looks good. Mine are very tattlered and soaked, torn, stretched and taped up

Lots of options- Nice

Yes. Orig Factory GM Hoses Scrap kept from the 1980's hose kit swap outs:
LOS/VN 68 & 69 R/S Cars.

The yellow is very aged and almost beige (ish)

Note, I cannot be sure or remember where I harvested the white hose, posted as color resolution (sp) reference for the requested "Yellow"

While I don't have length data, I can offer advice: Esp at the canisters and the "T-ee's be a little generous to allow for slight trimming at later dates if the hoses are stressed and spit over time.
