NUT, Hex Flange Stamped, thread cutting
PN 9419753
1/8 HX FLNG STAMPD NUT 5/16 AF .53 D BLK ZC. 10 pk
Source AMK part number B-10629

Now this might be close, the trunk Nut likely had sealer and carried a different Fisher (GM) PN
The pins on the Header and trunk 68/69 emblems are small and I think going off memory they are smaller than say a 8-32 machine screw thread.

Others have better catalogs and parts books and will chime in also.

Restoration / Re: Cleaning 69 front turnsignal lens gaskets
« on: September 18, 2022, 02:00:39 AM »
a) I have had no luck with any attempts to clean factory gooey moldy dirty gaskets. They have a Very strange composition and accompanying resin-sealer. The do a great job but wow what a mess. None of the usual methods have worked for me, usually the side to the sheet metal housing retains the fresh white color, the side towards the lens back is nasty, moldy, dirt impregnated, deformed, dried, gooey or over sprayed during poor masking.
b) Be careful when sourcing reproductions. I have found various sources actually supply standard foam gasket die cut and thin, too thin to allow for proper compression upon the lens being tightened down, the shoulder screw bottoms out and the lens will still rattle around.

I need a Car show "T" shirt that says this WEb site address with a Large hand and index finger pointing to it.,,,,,,,,,,,

I try to be contrite and understanding of the general publics Camaro knowledge and often give a mild condescending "really,,,,,,,,that's so cool" answer with just enough attitude but not enough to cause a punching match.

I am still learning here which is a good thing.

It is all Good, we as a group are here to help each other.

My Recent Cam experience was with Howards, when I called them, they actually recommended for the Catalog Cam I was after that it was better to Order via Big Box Stores and be part of the Bulk orders that the big suppliers submit. I had this same experience on WIESCO (L78) pistons also. I found it odd the Manufactures did not want me ordering direct and I had success on both accounts ordering via Summit and Jegs.  Just my experiences in 2022

From my experience when I threw away my nasty, brittle,  torn, crusty factory trunk mat in my Pace Car 1969 (LOS) Z11 it was die cut around the corner dampeners footings.  I bought a molded replacement in the early eighties and traced and trimmed just like the Original that I threw in the trash Urg! I do not remember the cut out for the Spare sheet metal anchor (Hook), I want to say it was a nice neat rectangle, others here have untouched originals they will get more feedback
