Well, here it is, April 1st and it's going to be close to 80 degrees in southern WI today. (an unusual spring bonus !!) So I'm sitting here in the office with my ol' 68 Convert parked in the lot out front. My last ride was Nov. 9th, so it's been 4 1/2 long months. Looking forward to a great ride home with the top down!!!
Great to have convertible weather back and be on the road again!

Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Bonus Weekend

Wow! It was nearly 70 degrees here in southern Wisconsin this weekend. And... since I had not yet put the ol' 68 Convert to bed for the winter, the top went down & away we went for a short cruise. In the 15 years that I've had my '68, I can't remember ever being able to do that in November. One in the record books for me. Keeping my fingers crossed. I'd like to do it again in December!!!

Just curious, I noticed that some pictures seemed to be part of the message, as in the one titled 'all original looking '67 pulling a boat' in the General Discussion area. How can that be done?
I've tried attaching pictures, but had to make them so small they were hard to see.
Thanks

Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / John Seaton

This really doesn't have anything to do with Camaros, but may be a worthy note for all us car enthusiasts. This past Tuesday John Seaton passed any. He worked for Pontiac Motor Division back in the '60's with John Delorean's team on the developement of the GTO. Then in the '80's he was part of the team that brought us the Fiero.
Our world was better because of men like him. Thanks for your contributions, John.

Thanks Phil, I know now what they are, but the name didn't make me think of those. I do like the look, and I have the wheel well moldings, so maybe I'll get the reveal moldings as well. I'm going to have to replace my window felts anyway. They're starting to loose the felt.
Hey thanks again Jerry

Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Partial VIN on Tranny
|
on: September 04, 2007, 02:23:47 PM

My '68 vert does not have the original motor & I have always suspected that the tranny is not original either, so, this past weekend I crawled underneath to get the VIN off of it. It is: 19K565620 I'm thinking that the 'K' is for the Kansas City assembly plant and this trans came from a '69 Chevelle. Would that be correct??
Thanks Jerry
