I would like one too. Smiley

Would it be possible to get a picture of the trim tag on the firewall before it is scrapped?

I looked at the car 124677N188397 this summer.  A guy in Southern MA has it and it is a maroon SS350 p/g car.  He also has 2 dozen 1st gen projects so I will check my list of his cars with the vins you continue to post.

Mal, can you ask the guy what the stamped vin on the engine pad is?  I could use it for my impala research.
Thanks, Warren

Hi, what is the stamp date stamped into the side of your main case?
36  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Does anyone have any info on........ on: August 26, 2007, 05:31:24 PM
There was a "hand made" 67 camaro on ebay several years ago.  I think i saved pictures of the vin and trim tags and some of the areas where hand made was written is something like that.  I will look for them tomorrow.  I believe the car was assembled 1st week of august or july of 66.

I have the pop, invoice, body broadcast copy and the temp. registration to the 68 camaro 124378N457540.  It was Lemans Blue L78 with a 4speed and a 4:10 posi sold new in PA.  Thought I'd post it here.

engine pad T0705MY 7N253976

I'm actually the one who has the block for sale but thought I'd post it here because I didn't see the vin in the list.

Possible POP. I have a metal tag attached to a Owner Protection Plan book.

Here are the numbers.
831 GG           1546981142821 R
K0503DH         EM0503K          5
E8E02                 4

Does this seem right?

Thanks
Jay

Jay, could you send me a picture of the plate with the date and dealer info for my fullsize chevy research.  A 68 biscayne 4dr with a v8 is a little uncommon.  My email is Tranenut@juno.com
Thanks, Warren

Got the car home tonight. Along with Owners Manual, GM bill of sale from Reilly Chev-Cad Co. (sold for $3334.60) 1967 custom feature optional accessories book, In the original plastic bag. No POP. The build sheet is blank in the POP box 110. So did the car have a POP. Also what is C00L 9192 in box 102.
Hav'nt done much  I did get in the trunk, looks really good along edges I didnt pull mat up completely for fear of ripping it. Had one of the wheels off and it has a CA Label stuck to the brake drum.
 Pretty excited about this one.

Yes, it had to have had a pop at some point.  Most of the protectoplate sections on the build sheet along that bottom line (below the options listings) are not filled in.  They only filled in the beginning of the vin, trim, paint and protectoplate options because that was all that was known when it was printed.  Not sure what the COOL is yet but I've seen it before on other build sheets.  Wonder where the pop went after all these years.  Sounds like a great project.  Could you send me a picture of the GM bill of sale?  My email is Tranenut@juno.com

Thanks, Warren

Yeah, the zone 13 office was in Pittsburg, PA.  Close to the Ohio border.
When you have the car in the shop, you should look under the front bench seat and up under the hood insulation.  You may find more copies of the build sheet.  I have found up to four build sheets in one Wilmington car and have found three in a car from Wilmington and none of them were for the car I found them in but for the three cars built consecutively before it.

42  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Two Black 1969 Z28s! on: March 27, 2007, 02:29:33 PM
Back from the midwest road trip.  Did two certifications but the kicker here is both cars were real black 69 Z28s.  I'm sure this will never happen again.  Rare, my eye!!

Second car took me to Rapid City, SD.  This area is beautiful and the people were so friendly.  I hope I get to go back there.  After I was done appraising car 2, I was able to get out to Mt. Rushmore, and the Crazy Horse monument.  What a breath taking place.  Makes you proud to be an American, that's for sure.

Oak City and the Big Easy are next.

Jerry

There are some good junkrads in Rapid City if you are ever out there again.  We've been out there several times and its always a great time.

The protectoplate may be with the owners manual.

Got the build sheets and it looks good.  Where are you located?  You don't see many Wilmington, DE cars delivered to Ohio originally.  I think the only dealer to get Wilmington cars in Ohio were zone 13 dealers.  I have also seen a Wilmington car delivered to TN.

Wilmington build sheets do not have the key numbers on them.  Sometimes, the key numbers are written on the owners manual or protection plan but they probably are not with the car, right?.
