Can you post a picture of that cup?  I'd like to see what it looks like. Cheesy

And they also charge a research fee to search for the vin (if no info is found on it).  It all used to be free... Sad

Yup those are Impala wheels.  If you will not be using them, I am looking for DC rally wheels for my 68 and 69 Impalas, which all have disc brakes.

I have a picture of the protectoplate from #13 that was ebay several years ago.  It was just the protectoplate from a Seattle dealer if I remember right.  The car is MIA.  I haven't looked at the photo but will look for it tonight.

On impala build sheets (not the broadcast sheets), it usually appears like: TAG L BROOKS, for example.
That window sticker I sent you yesterday kurt has:
Chevolet Janesville
C W COFFEY

I have never seen one like that before where it says INTERZONE TAG...

Thanks
I'd love to see what car it originally came out of!

Hmmm... an 02B car should have the vin punched in the book. unless it was a replacement.
Any way to get a picture of the plate?
25  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: 1968 P.O.P serial number on: May 06, 2008, 10:09:44 AM
Does the cars protectoplate have the full info stamped on the plate or just the vin and the owners info?
If the original book was lost, a replacement was usually issued and in most cases, did not have the punched vin.
26  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: trans tag on: May 05, 2008, 04:38:18 PM
Yes.  It was from a 69 fullsize chevrolet with a 427/390HP engine.  What is the other longer number stamped on the tag?  Also, would it be possible to get a picture of both sets of numbers and where are you located?

I do research on fullsize chevrolets.

Some of the early cars did not have the punched vin in the book. This occurred when they were switching from the 1st edition to the 2nd edition.  Generally, you see this from the beginning of the model year into early October.

this stuff was relisted by the first buyer this past week and he took it off when the current owner of the car was located in I believe Ohio.  It had just met the reserve at 305 when it was pulled

30  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: Repro protect-o-plates on Ebay on: February 15, 2008, 02:34:45 PM
Check out these items they are selling. Notice how they have a gallery picture for the repro trim tags but not for these!
250215582752
260211488744
260211491276

Probably no gallery picture so it will be harder for ebay to catch them.  I hate how they describe the tag in the title like they don't have a clue as to what it's for.  I remember seeing one where they called it a cowl tag but they obviously know what they are used for.  Wonder how many have been bought and stamped?
