I just sold a 69 Camaro with a comfort grip wheel. It was documented by the orig window sticker.

Edit your posts ?  Was it your car or not ? You were mistaken ? You made a very serious charge by stating you buried the orig body. Did you or didn't you ? If you were mistaken and trashed trashed the Barrett-Jackson car by accident you should explain it so the trashing can stop.

A tiny bit is normal. There is a c clip holding the axle in. Maybe 1/8-3/16" ?

356  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Tailpan blackout on 69' tuxedo black SS396? on: August 01, 2007, 09:05:24 AM
A orig owner of a black low mile orig paint LS6 Chevelle suggested that the tail panels and rockers were probably shot in gloss black but not polished or buffed at all. Food for thought.
357  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: N/66 option phase-out for 1969 Camaro production on: July 31, 2007, 12:30:55 AM
I had a 8000 mile 69 Yenko that got a 68 vinyl top when new. It was ordered with the top but came without it so Yenko ordered a new vinyl top and installed it but it was a 68 and not a 69. I actually like the looks of it. You could never remove that top but it sounds like it might get docked points.
358  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: N/66 option phase-out for 1969 Camaro production on: July 30, 2007, 08:52:41 AM
I would hope that owners of cars that were modified at the dealer when new and had paperwork to back it up would not be penalized points for leaving those items on. If they get docked points and start removing the dealer installed items for the sake of judging we are losing a cool part of the cars history. There ought to be a way to encourage owners to preserve how they left the lot.
359  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Maintenance / Re: Power brake adjustment on: July 24, 2007, 09:01:08 PM
That's frequently a classic symptom of the front system metering valve (the round one below the master cylinder) being stuck open, which causes the front brakes to engage before there's any engagement at all of the rear drums. That valve (when it's working) doesn't allow any fluid displacement in the front system until the rears see 30-40 psi, to get the rear shoes out to the drums for a balanced application.
..........  I did not know that....Cool.
