General Discussion / Re: lets reunite another 302 with the original car

I don't think you need to see the other one to know this one is real. The one Jerry posted is painted so not a very good example.

Look in the body section of my Z28 site and you will see pics showing the drivers side ones painted and the pass side ones plated. No I don't know why they ended up in the body section.

Originality / Body color on firewall
« on: December 29, 2010, 03:30:33 PM »
Somebody posted pics awhile back of their firewall being body color instead of being blacked out but I can't find the thread. I did find this pic on the site though and it also looks body color to me. Maybe this is old news ? Also crayon on top of the firewall paint. Maybe I need more morning coffee.

Decoding/Numbers / Re: Original AC oil filter date codes

Yes my filter is the 4.26 and 3.524. You should probably amend your earlier post that left the black lettered filter out. So it sounds like late 70 cars might get the blue letters .

My 1100 mile 70 Z28 still had it's orig oil filter and it is white with black lettering, no blue on it. Absolutely the orig filter that was never off the car till I took it off.
