I would leave it in. What type of sealant-gasket is holding it in ? Even if it was not orig I would much rather have a piece of glass that was installed in 69 or even 76 versus a repo.

Originality / Re: Could you get a cowl hood on a base 1969 camaro?

Loosen the clamp that holds the solenoid and slide it far enough so the door opens all the way. Then tighten the clamp. Pretty simple when you look at it.

That glitch in the stripe on the fender is correct. They almost always have that defect as I'm guessing it was something with the stencil but don't remember. I smiled when I saw it.

General Discussion / Re: crossram questions
« on: October 02, 2011, 01:57:35 AM »
Crossrams used to be really cool because they look cool and you never saw them. I remember buying a green 69 Z with a crossram and 456 gears that he drove on the street. He had spent a ton of time dialing that engine in. He said no matter what do not change the jets as they we almost all different and he had it set up perfect. It was the fastest Z I ever had. Would wind past 8K smooth as can be. Nowdays there are a million repo crossrams and most probably run like crap so they aren't very special anymore. I would imagine the repos have hurt the value of the real ones. I would like a nice 69Z with a flat hood , no spoilers and no crossram.

Leather seats were not available on a 67 Camaro. Did you mean leather covers on stock seats or is there a chance you have the wrong seats ?

Here are pics of a orig paint 69 Z I redid in about 1990. Pretty sloppy stripes. Also notice the width of the thin outside stripe compared to the red dividing stripe next to it. I had to post them on the Camaro site because they are apparently too large for here.

Go to the forum on yenko.net and send a pm to member 302MO. He has a stunning 69 Z in that color. He should have some pics to excite you.
