A friend got them on a trade. He said there were no letters but they have been painted and he didn,t want scratch off the finish. They are nice with trim rings, small center caps, and red wall nylon tires. He has them for sale. I will go look myself today or tommorow.

The real fun is getting something questionable at a fair price and then with homework and CRG finding out it is real. With this site and Jerry,s books and others you might not be able to prove what it is but you can prove what it is not.

Por 15 clear should preserve the factory rust if you like. After appying you could apply a no gloss clear top coat. Later you could even go over it all with black like it should have been to start with.

I was looking at a very nice car awhile back and thought if I sold the crossram and parts and the JL8 and parts, man I would have a nice reasonable driver. The parts were not matching #,s by the way but were GM.

the corvette would be a tack drive unit.

When you said the radio comes on I guess you mean the lights? Then it is grounded already. If you install the unit correctly it is usually grounded. The wire insures that viberations don,t cause the ground to come and go. Open the unit and if you see brown paper pieces scattered, I wish you luck.

Don,t forget vacuum leaks. I did carb adjusting, plugs ,ect. Took off the carb for work and what do you see? Cracked booster line. Fun day though but I messed with so much stuff it took another day to tune it back like it was. If it wasn,t for the Hookers and Flowmasters I probably would have heard it first.

Mine sweats too. Think the dehumidifier will help. Thanks
208  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Maintenance / Dehumdifier on: October 17, 2011, 10:10:56 AM
I just got a new digital dehumidifier for my shop. What would be a good setting for my cars? I have heat and air but usually set them between 50 and 80. Here in NC sometimes it gets pretty humid and I can feel it on my cars.
209  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / 69 SS 350 on: October 17, 2011, 06:53:18 AM
At the Corvette Expo in Tn. this past weekend there was a 69 SS 350 with a 350 horsepower engine. It looked real. I know it was a corvette option but was it a camaro option?
210  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Master Cylinders on: October 05, 2011, 10:30:48 AM
I have two matser cylinders. My 08E car had when I got it a 309 dated 143. My 12A car has a 346 dated 52. Can someone decode these dates. Also on the site I have read that early 69,s may have left over 346,s on them. Does that mean my 346 could be original? And my 309 US appears to be original but the date does get close to the date on the original trans. Would they have built many and used them later as it appears they did on the 346,s?
