What would t136 mean. Shouldn,t that be an X code on a 12D car?

Re pops I bought were junk. They were a kit.

Neither my L78 or my Z came with gauges. The L78 did not even come with a tach. Probably why it has a CE block.

I have heard people sanding and lubeing all moving parts helped. Most repo parts are not too good. Carmaro Barn in NC used to sell parts with warrantys. The guy that runs it is also very knowledgable about the systems also. If you are not going for original I know a lot of guys are going to the electric conversion. If you insist on working on yours I would get a electric vacuum pump with an adjustable regulator instead of using engine vacuum.

The clock thing has me puzzled also. With no console gauges it would have a center fuel gauge if it had a tach. Also the vin stamp on the block looks a little too good to me.
10  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: Speedo gear reduction on: October 23, 2014, 01:38:29 PM
I have never seen a car come with that device. Why? they have gears for all factory ratios. I think that device would be for non factory gears like 586 or 614?

No wonder there are so many restamps and clones. He has all the real parts.
12  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Maintenance / Re: Touch up paint on: October 21, 2014, 08:56:24 AM
When I reinstalled the factory SS hood on my Rally Green 69 we did the computer gun thing and it did not match the laquer color. The guy was pretty sharp so all we did was try another brand of paint with all the same numbers and it was a perfect match. The first try was Dupont Croma and the match was Standox.

ditto on the friction nuts. My Z is down now with a nasty click. Have gotten the cover off but I kind of know what to look for.
14  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: My New '68 Camaro Z/28 Butternut Yellow on: October 17, 2014, 06:56:05 AM
Ditto on White Post for brakes. They did the master cylinder on my vette. It leaked after about 8 or 10 years. I called and told them yes I did have the receipt. Did again for free.

Danny,
Contact allamericancarburetor.com or call 904 215 6790. They have done several for my brother. They look great and work great. Less than $300.00 on the last one but it needed extra parts. They test run them on an engine before sending it back.
