I have never seen a car come with that device. Why? they have gears for all factory ratios. I think that device would be for non factory gears like 586 or 614?

When I reinstalled the factory SS hood on my Rally Green 69 we did the computer gun thing and it did not match the laquer color. The guy was pretty sharp so all we did was try another brand of paint with all the same numbers and it was a perfect match. The first try was Dupont Croma and the match was Standox.

Ditto on White Post for brakes. They did the master cylinder on my vette. It leaked after about 8 or 10 years. I called and told them yes I did have the receipt. Did again for free.

Contact allamericancarburetor.com or call 904 215 6790. They have done several for my brother. They look great and work great. Less than $300.00 on the last one but it needed extra parts. They test run them on an engine before sending it back.

They are out there. A few years back I came across a field in the VA mountains with probably 20 chevelles, Camaros, Corvettes, and Tri 5,s. Could find one I thought could be moved without it breaking in two. And the odd owner had been watching too much Barret Jackson.

I called Lo Jac when my John Deere was stolen. They have a dealer network and install price depends on where you are from a dealer. They actually come to you for the install and no you cannot watch. The one I called had a yearly fee. You have to call them to activate it. Now there are some devices (usually installed on boats) that have stiff fees but they actually call you when it moves if you have it set. As far as immobilization devices remember most older car thefts are done with trailers or tow trucks. At hotels at big shows you see cars on or in trailers backed up against something. The theft stuff is most likely on the truck.

If I remember right you are using a replacement carb you bought. Think they will take it back? Also to get you running until your original parts are done right you could go by O,Reilys and pickup one of there 89.00 or 99.00 buck HEI,s. When you get things ironed you could get 50.00 for it at a swap meet. I think they also have rebuilt point distributers ( cast iron and not correct) but a friend loaned me one when I was sorting out one of my cars. It is not the correct stuff but I think you want ride for now. This might get you on the road to see what else you need to do to the car.

A friend is doing a 68 day two 427 car. He will have the bumble bee stripe. Does anyone have pictures of the 427 emblems like Harrell, Yenko, and others used? And what were they? 67 Corvette?
This car was a matching # 327 210 hp with factory air that worked and  drive train that ran. If someone has needs for something PM me.

Don,t know if it is correct but Bridgeport has a duct seal compound part # DS 100. In teardowns I have seen what looks to be similar It is like a non hardening putty in 1 pound packs. Can be found at electrical supply houses.

I have been impressed with evaporust. When trying to remove headlight adjusters from the plastic parts I tried everything. Finally sprayed them with evaporust and the next night they turned right out. Since then I have sprayed rusted threads of bolts and they turn right out.

I think if you could borrow a known working carb from someone that would be my next try. Some carb rebuilders use test motors to check their builds before sending to you. We have used a couple here on the east coast and when it comes back they say only adjust the idle and that is all it took.
