What gear you running? A set up like yours with 3.08,s might not feel too peppy. More flow does not help until you get some RPM.

I have always felt the GM guys did a good job with their HP engines. The LT1, L79, L78, ect. It just seems the factory heads ,intake, cam, and carb just work together well for power and streetability. Getting a little 302 to do what it does and still make a beer run is hard to beat.

The adds I have seen for PD or DUI said they will take car weight, cam and ect. and curve the dizzy before shipment. I can do it but it would nice to open the box and the paper says total advance, total in at what RPM, ect while getting a good unit at a fair price. If I had a SUN machine I would do it but leaning over a hot motor playing with springs and weights kind of gets old.

If it had white interior I would still have to have it.

I have never had one but my next one will be from them. I understand you can give them your cars specs and they will curve it for the performance
You want. And the price is reasonable.

What rpm is your converter dragging it down to? If it is 600 to 700 see if the engine will run that low in neutral. My stock converter in my Chevelle took the LS6 cam down to 600 or so and it would barely run. My CX converterin my camaro comes down to 700 or so and the L78 will idle there.

Is it the same guy who swears he ordered a 69 SS with a 427 and it was not a copo?

General Discussion / Re: Is this a Z/28 Shifter

From reading the links it looks like there are at least some parts difference between the Muncie and the Saginaw. It would help the value if you determine which. If I had a SS car I was doing the Muncie would be what I was looking for. Just from memory it looks very similar to one I had from a 69 Chevelle that had a Muncie 3 speed. After several tries and being told that there were no Muncie 3 speeds in 69 I had to pull the trans and take it to the speed shop for the Hurst rep to see to get a shifter.

I agree with Darrel but it is good. If right price and date I would use it.
