It,s OK Bryon, I have a friend who has a 427 on an engine test stand in his finished man cave plumbed to the outside. And it does run.

For years I always heard and thought CE stood for ( counter engine ). Until I started reading CRG that is what I thought.

Should be considerable value to someone wanting to add factory air. A friend sold a complete 68 set up for about $400. It was complete though.

In my opinion it would take a lot of velocity to make that intake work.

I have had a 275 horse engine before. Strong engine. This one with the vent in the back of the block will allow someone to run correct style valve covers. The 67 down blocks are getting a little scarce. It looks complete less distributer and comes with an unknown 283. If he will take the right price I will just store them in my swap meet stuff.

67 275 sounds right. Double hump heads, quadrajet, not 68 because solid valve covers and oil filter canister. Might go look to put in the parts shed. It would be good for someone fixing a pre 68 car.

A local has some parts for sale. Looks like a 67 327 pretty complete code HC, cast 3903352. Has double humps and quadrajet. Anybody know for sure what it is before I waste time going to look?

I think the fact that finding a solid lifter car with it,s born with motor is rare it kind of says that the solid lifter engines were blown more often. Even back in the 70,s when some these cars where low mileage they still had replacement motors.

In 78 I bought a two tone blue Caprice. It came in with a bad scratch on the door. The dealer shop tried to match it a couple times. They finally took a door off another car on the lot. I never saw any docs for it.

I think X22 rules out COPO.
