I think the ZL1 option on a. 69 camaro was over 4k. Anyone know what an over counter ZL1 engine cost?

I just looked back at the pictures of the under side. Don,t think I have ever seen an oil pan damaged like that one. If it was in the car appears it would have gotten the bell housing, even the oil filter looks dented.

Kind of odd that “1970” SS has SS wheels, I think they dropped that option on 69,s about December of 68. I guess they planned to bring the option back for 70

Photos and videos sometimes lack a lot of things in person inspections show on cars. auction fever and buyers with pockets full of money also can make two different actions have wide price spreads on similar cars.

I have agree on the repaint, the firewall blackout is cleaner that normal and the paint in areas that really can,t be buffed is really shiny for 55 year old paint imo. At least a lot of touch up.

Back in the day some guys took the stripes all the way down onto the front and rear pans, most probably were not real Z,s anyway.

The silver ZL1 I think #10 is in MM magazine and shows it,s original motor, trans, and rear end are all missing. Of course all ZL1 vins are known so it is the real deal body.

The only thing COPO left about the car is the story. Still a clean looking 69 for what that is. Now IF the original engine showed up or paperwork was found might be a different story.

Does the picture of the bottom of the motor show an exhaust pipe tie like single exhaust and other pics show dual exhaust? Nice paint for NC I should call him and see who did it, nice paint jobs are getting hard to find around here.

A real Z28 will also be worth more than plain camaro even with non original drivetrain. COPO and Zl1 cars are out of site and hardly any of them have the original stuff. My Z and my SS both are missing the original engine, I search the orphans often.

My 2 cent two different tags. Black on white sure is sharp though.
