Interesting information from everyone.  So it looks like the 69 trunk bumpers are usually the small domed ones while my 68 would take the larger diameter slightly thicker ones.

My 69 came with the 4721222 like the one in the center of the pic above with that part number on it. They were not the domed ones.

So ALL 69 SS coupe's had dual exhuast and the hanger bracket on the side of the frame?  So if you bought a 69 coupe without a factory dual exhaust bracket and it was purchased as an origianl SS, you got duped?  I'm not sure this question was ever answered with confidence here...so convertible 69's didn't have the welded dual exhaust bracket?

So if you find a bare shell, and it doesn't have the dual exhaust bracket, it couldn't be a Z28 or an SS...but it could have been a plain jane or an RS?

If it doesnt have the drivers side exhaust bracket and it is a Coupe, it cannot be an SS or z/28.

Interior code should be 717 and the console is blue.

Alot of engines were marked on the front of the head. Not sure about DZ, but I have a very original 67 327 in my garage with the 2 letter code on the head. When I did my resto, alot of these markings survived. My front sway bar had the light blue paint daub on it. I have pics of it.
My original front rotors had yelow ink julian date stamps on them. You would be amazed at what survives.

The ones pictured are not correct for 69. The 69 rubber bumpers are thicker as stated above.

the one you have pictured is the aftermarket Hurst and has the 67-68 chrome stick. The 69 stick is different. The shifter body is the same for 67-69 but not the stick.

also looks like it has an extra hole drilled above the 2 mount holes

All the later hurst Comp Plus shifters came like this even though it does slightly resemble the 67-68 stick.
