Rarely seen color, especially on a Z28. That car sits kind of high.

So we have a repop tag, says the engine is V0603DZ which is too late for this cars build and hes at $82,900?
I would love to see the rest of the driveline stampings including the engine thats too late.
Wow

Tag looks legit to me and fits right in with the VIN.

General Discussion / Re: Silver '69 Z/28 on Bring a Trailer

From what I recall, the main reason the database was started was to collect information for research of all Camaros.
With this info and research, a lot has been discovered and shared with the public and its all written on this webpage.
So I think what they set out to do has come to fruition and we all benefit from that. So there is reciprocity. They have shared a lot of information and helped a lot of Camaro enthusiasts!
Nothing is being held back as far as I see it. I think at times with driveline stampings and cowl tags, too much info has come out and the bad guys know even more.

I totally appreciate all that the CRG has done!

I have never had much luck with repo RS hoses. They all end up splitting where they connect on to something.

I saved all my originals just in case.

I know of 6 Van Nuys cars with 67 coded tags. 3 of them are z28's. The earliest one is an 01B build.

I would have to agree with that assessment. The threaded part would be down by the carb. I think cotter pins are both on pass side.

Ha!! Now thats a great question. I looked at some really old pics when I first took my engine out.
The threaded part of the rod was actually up on the linkage coming out of the firewall so maybe it was in backwards?

The L30, which I beleive takes the same rod shows the threaded part on the carb end, but the L48 shows it as the threaded part up by the firewall.
Both illustrations in the AIM show it connected with cotter pin on inside facing pass side.
So I guess the bend has something to do with alignment. I would have to look at it again on my car to see which way the bend makes more sense.

Notice there is a slight bend in it about 3 inches from the threaded end.
