It pays to be nosy and ask a lot of questions.  Last Sunday's (4-22-07) San Francisco Chronicle had an article about a guy that found 1 of 25 made 1950 Ferrari 166MM Barchettas (2-liter V12 engine) sitting in a back yard in Tucson, Arizona.  He happily paid over one million dollars for it!  After getting it home and doing some research he found out the car had run at such famous races as Le Mans, Silverstone, & Targa Florio.  The car had even been raced by Juan Manuel Fangio.  Yes, that Fangio.   Cool

Camaro Camaro -

I tried calling three more times at various times for you = no answer.  Based on Danny's post you should file a dispute with Ebay asap.  Good luck!

So, what's the engine code from the POP?

Kurt -

The engine code off the POP per one of his other threads is T0909DC (307 cid/200 hp w/ PowerGlide).

Hi Jim -

KurtS (username) is one of the CRG members who maintains the database.  I'm sure he would appreciate the info from your car.  You can send him an email at KurtS2@gmail.com .  Also, since you state you're not a Camaro person, you could not order a 327/275 engine in a SS.  Good luck.

Camaro x 2 -

I just gave him a call = no answer.  I did leave a message.  I will call him one more time tonight for you.  If you don't hear back from him soon, you should file a dispute with Ebay, especially since he sold the exact same item to someone else one month earlier.  Good luck!

Also your POP (which you stated you have in another post) will tell which engine the car originally came with.

Question #2--- did the Z28 come stock with a steering wheel with SS emblem in the center?

No, never.

Clint -

Both are truck engines.  YS = 1966 or 1968 327 cid engine.  WA could be a 283, 307, or 350 cid engine depending on the block casting date.  If you know the block casting dates we can narrow it down for you.

I have a friend that had this problem and he installed one of these heat shields:

He claims it worked!   Cool

The POP is in the glove box, I was looking at it last night. It's hard to read, looks like it's printed backwards.

You lucky dog!!   Smiley

Here's the link on how to decode your POP:
