It's real

Wow!  Thanks, Ed.  I learned something new about Camaros today!    Grin

but we don't know what dealers sold them.

As far as dealers that sold them, there's a link in the Team Camaro thread you reference to a '69 Z/28 that was sold last year.  The seller states the car has the original dealer invoice from 1969.  That might be a start to finding the dealers who sold them if you (or someone?) contacts the seller (top_self_reps) or the buyer (zmachz).    Smiley

Anybody ever hear of a '69 "Denver Hugger Special" Camaro?  Seller states Denver Hugger Specials were built to compete with the California Special Mustangs.  Is this for real?    Huh

Yep, there were only if I remember, about 50 keys patterns used by GM back then. We had a full set at the gas station, and if someone locked their keys in the car, or took the keys when they left a car for service, we were good to go.

Tom

So what you are saying is there a thousands of people with the keys to my 1968 RallySport Z/28 Camaro!    Shocked   So much for that great GM feeling!    Tongue

When I was 11, my father bought a brand new 1966 Pontiac LeMans. We went down to the DMV in El Cajon, California to register it. The person behind the counter handed him two new license plates wrapped up in brown paper, which I installed on the car. We didn't have to wait for them from Sacramento.

Ed

Ed, any chance you remember the license plate number on your father's Pontiac?
