Anyone know if this KD1 RPO was carried over to cars delivered into Canada into the '69 model year at all?

KD1 (air injection reactor delete, export only) was only available in 1968.  It was not available in 1967 and 1969.

Thanks, so without smog equipment it is not an original?

The car didn't leave Norwood without the smog equipment.

I have a 1969 Pace Car built in Norwood OH, 396 CID 325 HP. It was shipped to a dealer in St Leonard, PQ Canada per a General Motors of Canada Limited info sheet. It has 4 plugs in each exhaust manifold anyone explain why. It does not look like it had any emission equipment on it.

In 1969, Canadian cars used the same emission controls as U.S. cars.  Someone removed the smog pump and related piping, then plugged the holes in the exhaust manifolds.  This was a common practice back in the day.

TH400 transmissions were partial VIN stamped either above the pan rail on the driver's side (very difficult to see with the exhaust system installed) or on the driver's side of the bellhousing (as indicated in the picture).
