WHAT IS THE ORIGINAL PART NUMBER AIR FILTER ELEMENT PART NUMBER FOR THE COWL PLENUM Z/28 AIR CLEANER SET UP? IS IT  A226CW   OR   AC697C? ALSO DOES THE ORIGINAL ELEMENT HAVE RAISED LETTERS AND THIN WIRE MESH PATTERN LIKE THE ORIGINAL 212 ELEMENTS?    THANKS   JOHN

does anyone know what the correct plating is for the clutch return spring and the extension rod it attaches to ?  z/28s have the long skinny rod and other small block sticks . bare steel , grey phosphate?  thanks john

WHAT IS THE CORRECT PLATNG FOR THE FRONT DISC BRAKE HOSE BANS/STRAPS THAT HOLD THE HOSE TO THE UPPER CONTROL ARM?  ARE THEY BARE , GREY PHOSPHATED?   DOES ANYONE KNOW?   THANKS

WHAT IS THE GM PART NUMBER ON THE LITTLE METAL TRANS TAG FOR 68 Z/28  WITH A M20 TRANS?  ALSO WHAT IS IT FOR A 68Z WITH A M21 ?   THE ASSEMBLY MANUAL SHOWS THE PART NUMBERS ,BUT IT IS CONFUSING.  ANY HELP OUT THERE?

LOOKED AT THE UNTOUCHED 68 Z TONIGHT AND THE MASTER CYLINDER BAILS LOOK DARK GRAY. THEY LOOK LIKE THEY ARE GREY PHOSPHATED IS THE CORRECT? I ALWAYS THOUGHT THEY WERE BARE STEEL. ANY INFO ON THIS?

JUST LOOKED AT THE UNTOUCHED 68Z/28 TONIGHT AND THE WATER PUMP FITTING HAVE ORANGE PAINT ON THEM. THE PUMP IS ORIGINAL TO THE CAR AND STILL HAS PAINT ON IT . THREE OF THE WATER PUMP TO BLOCK BOLTS ARE ORANGE ALSO,EXCEPT THE UPPER RIGHT BOLT /STUD WERE THE GROUND ATTACHES IS SILVER ZINC IS THIS CORRECT? EVERY RESTORED 67/68 Z HAS SILVER ZINC PLATED FITTINGS WITH NO PAINT. WHAT IS CORRECT? I AM RESTORING A 68Z AND IT IS GOING TO CARLISLE TO BE JUDGED AND I DO NOT WANT TO MISS ANYTHING.  THANKS
