Hello Buddy, the paint codes are 9440 is the flattest and 9469 is about 80 percent gloss. To controll the gloss more reducer =less gloss. The mixing instructions are 3 paint 1 reducer .5 hardner. For the 9469 mix it 3 paint 1.5 reducer .5 hardner. It comes out to about 60percent gloss. Let me know how it turns out.    John  Allouez Restorations    p.s.  use 870 reducer

I spray ppg concept single stage alot. They can mix the paint to the gloss you want. The gloss can also be controlled by the amount of thinner and the temp of the thinner. I have two different formulas that work great .It took me awhile to get it right, but now it is easy to spray it . I will get the numbers of the formulas for you and the mix ratios.    John    Allouez Restorations

Restoration / Re: 68 Z28 Intake Manifold Bolts!
« on: February 17, 2009, 11:56:18 PM »
Hello , Looked at the intake bolts today. Here is what I found  RSC non shoulder eight of them, WB with a shoulder on the two lift hooks, A head bolts non shoulder on the two that hold the smog bracket. The A head bolts for the smog bracket are longer. Another interesting thing is the eight RSC non shoulder bolts are black phosphate. All of the other bolts look either bare steel or silver zinc plated. The thermostat housing bolts are CP for the longer one and TR for the shorter one. I have seen Wb for the thermostat housing longer bolt also.  John

I looked at this car in person, about three years ago.I am the one who took the heads off the block and removed the intake for the very first time! Everything is original 100percent . Kurt knows about this car also. Yellow/yellow  flat hood, rear end housing rusty, dent in right front fender, two brother in Walla Walla purchased it new. The reason the rear end was toast because the muffler rubbed a hole in the cover. call me or email I would like to talk to you about this car. John
