Also check for a single 3/8" dia. fuel line which would indicate a Holley carb (high perf.) 2 fuel lines 3/8" with 5/16" no Z28.
Good Luck

One other thing to check into, here in NY you have to take pictures of the plates before any work is done and submit for approval.....

Repo core support's arn't very good. They dont fit the subframe and the hood latch bracket very well. I fixed my old one. They don't have square weldnuts as original so I guess you could tell from that. At least the one I got didn't.

beebfan: If you clearcoat gold cad. plating it will change the apperance of thte plating...darken it. You probally won't like the results as the blue/green hues will also go away. Something to do with the numerical aperture of the clear coat. Experiment with a piece you don't care about first. A product I like for black oxide is cosomoline. It is what the army packs guns and such in for long term storage. It is a spray heavy wax that semi dries out. Washes of easily with solvent. It's availably from Rick's. Good luck

Mild Modifications / Re: Best Undercoating?

I like the urethane undercoater available from body shop supply/paint stores. You will have to get a special gun to apply it but the pattern is close to the original factory stuff as applied in the wheel wells. I used it on my car and liked it.
Good luck

You all know that Rick's was bought by Eckler's? They also charge for sameday shipping, $3.95. Rick's use to ship everthing the same day for free. Ground Up Restorations is a good source also. Muscle Car City in MI is OK also.

Tony: Check with the shipping company, some of them will pay the owner for you when they pick-up the car. No risk if you can trust the shipping company.

Thanks Dave. I don't have any original parts as the original wheel was gone and replaced with a later model Camaro/Firebird wheel. I think I can make something up from your description.

Jonsey: I called Pilkington and they said the corner was square not radiused. Were your windows square cornered or radiused? I would just like to put something back in that matches what I took out.

Restoration / Correct side window replacement glass
« on: October 02, 2007, 04:31:00 PM »
Hello: I have been searching for correct side window replacement glass for a while with no luck. My original windows have a radius at the upper back corner, approx 1". All GM coupes that I've seen also have this radius. I guess it to protect thte weather strip from tearing when the wingow rolls up. All the suppliers I've talked to say they supply glass for concourse restorations and haven't gotten any complaints but the corner is square :D :(. I can't understand this, somebody must of complained. Are correct windows available? What do the concorse restorers use? Maybe Jerry MacNeish can help, I hope. Thank you in advance for your input.
