1088  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Maintenance / Crazy tach needle on: March 31, 2008, 10:15:21 AM
The factory tach on the 69 Z seems to get wild around 6500 rpm and immediatley goes to 8000 and bounces... any ideas? Or are the points bouncing?
Thinking about putting my SW970  in there and seeing what I get.

Thanks
James

The harbor freight one will not work... the id minimum is 3/4" the pilot bushing id is smaller than that.
1094  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Maintenance / Re: Clutch pilot bearing removal on: March 30, 2008, 03:28:09 PM
pack it the ceter hole with grease then use a drift with the same OD as the pilot bushing's ID then whack it with a hammer... voila'...
That being said I had to break one out in the past using a brass drift that I sharpened... the bushing was so worn that the ID was so oblong the grease method would not work!

I am blind... where is the wiper motor? The rear valence doesn't have any back up light holes...

It does have the wrong rear spoiler... it is a 10A 69 car with an early spoiler!
