i am not an expert, but the numbers were in a gang style holder. the numbers should be staright. the M E at the end looks to have been stamped individually.

 E means tinted glass. group 2 M is powerglide trans, G is console. group 3- S is interior chrome pkge, D is aux. lighting, and L denotes rally sport. what is wrong with butternut yellow?

the clips can be removed without removing the glass, as long as the studs that hold them are not rusted out.

according to jerry's book, 124379n636 vin should be 05A production. this is 04C. is that close enough?

there you go ron. thats a better pic than what i sent you. mine was taken while it was still in the car so i would remember how it went. the second clip goes in one of the bellhousing bolt holes.
