709  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: PTB stamps on: September 11, 2006, 09:37:23 AM
i didnt think my car had the ptb stamps until i started the frame off on it last year. my ptb stamps were under the fenders on the firewall. if i knew how to post pictures i would put up a few. i spoke with jerry mac neish about it and he said alot of the 67's came this way. if you havent pulled the fenders off yet, they may be under there.
710  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Re: starter motor for 1967 rs/ss 350 manual trans on: September 08, 2006, 08:10:02 PM
thanks all. i did have a rebuilt starter in my car that was an 1108430 from a 71 car. i just got the correct 1108338 starter from goat hill classics in californis. just put it in today. as soon as i get the carb back from jerry macneish, and the radiator back in it, i can get it running. the gardner exhaust went in last week. talk about a perfect fit!!!! i wish i knew how to post photos. i would love to show off the progress.

my car is an 05A car also. if you look at page 115, it shows a vin of 641676 and a price of the z28 package as 506.60. that 641 vin is about the end of 05A.

i just got a gardner exhaust system for my 67 rs/ss. i am in the middle of a frame off and haven't started it yet, but the quality is amazing. they are exact reproduction pieces. check out their website at www.gardnerexhaust.com.
716  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: your thoughts on date code 302 on: August 12, 2006, 12:44:36 PM
i have an o5A x77 car. the casting date is d49. feb is also too early. there were three different blocks used on 69 302's. feb would be a 618 block. 05A would be an 010 block.
