Those holes were added for center squirters, a popular performance mod back in the good old days.

3  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: Motor vin stamp vs. transmission vin stamp on: January 06, 2015, 10:09:37 PM
I had read some where that it was due to the alternator being relocated to the passenger side for 69. The alternator had to be removed to stamp the vin.

Boy, they really like those rust collecting aftermarket body side mldgs in Hawaii don't they! This one looks a lot better, but the photos are not that great. The pin striping is not factory, no biggie. The master cylinder is a later model. Not sure if the brakes have been upgraded and by who.

Danny, I love how much you are enjoying your car! Don't make a trailer queen out of it. My 67 RS/SS was a fun driver, bought from the original owner in 1984. I put it in storage after getting married and buying a house in 1989. I took it out of moth balls in 2004 and started a four year frame off, nut and bolt restoration on it. Since finishing it in 2008, I think I have put about 750 miles on it!

x2 simply the best! My Gardner system literally fell into the car, it was the easiest part of the restoration.

Gary, my friend has the remote mirror on his car as well and he put the standard mirror on the right side and it looks fine.

Gloss black lacquer is not as glossy as gloss black enamel or urethane. That is a pretty good match. I had mine powdercoater semi black and they look perfect.
