1  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: need the experts help with stamp pad on: April 16, 2014, 11:40:34 AM
did you extrapolate that based on stamp date?
yes, and by my car. My car is 05A, and my vin is 639xxx. My block is also an 010 block. The way they were cranking out camaros, I doubt a block would sit around for six weeks before being built. As I said, my casting date to assembly date is less than a week.

I would say the missing digit is "3". Which would make it 634384. Strikes me as odd that the block sat around for six weeks before being assembled. Mine is less than a week.

We were all worried about how the surgery went Danny. I know that no news is good news, but your mind starts messing with you after a while! Glad to see you posting. Keep up the good work.

Looks like the ultra rare rocker molding delete as well!
5  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: markings on fender extensions on: March 27, 2014, 04:46:38 PM
Are we talking specifically about 69's? My 67 RS/SS has  "R" on each lower fender extension. I am assuming it denotes rally sport as the lower valance is different.
6  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Research Topics & Reports / Re: 1967 Camaro radius rod research on: March 27, 2014, 04:42:05 PM
Kurt, you have the info on my car. I bought it from the original owner in 1984. It is an L48 m-20, 3.73 car. The original owner states that the car was recalled to install the radius rod. It is square, and they didn't use the brkt under the rear seat. There are two bolts and lock washers holding the front radius rod brkt.

Read the assembly thread on the home page. Tons of info.
13  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Owner and I believe this to be a Z (69) on: March 12, 2014, 04:31:15 PM
If the vin and the cowl tag are gone, what good is it? I don't see one usable panel on that car. If it had a vin tag and you could use the firewall to graft another car to then maybe. This is a boat anchor! IMHO

When I sold the car in 76, it had  triangle foam air cleaner on it that I bought at motion performance. I couldn't afford anything else from there!
